It is a peace of junk
It is a VERY low quality product, the sit is very close to bottom of the tub. If you are not carefulIt could slid down. After afew time use, I just junked it.

A Strong Word of Caution
Products such as the Bathroom Bench Seat and other grab bars which are held by other than firm anchors should not be used as a traditional grab bar. These projects do not meet the requirements of the ADA or Section 504 because they are not fixed and do not support the necessary lbs or a grab bar or seat. The ideas or concepts of these types of assistive device are good. They are portable, more attractive than the old metal grab bars and seats. but they could cause injury if they are not used carefully. The greatest problem are builders, housing providers, health care agencies who look at these products and see a cost savings and think they are complying with the civil rights laws protecting people with disabilities. Dangerous!
This does fit 30" tubs. But without any type of clamp or stabilizer, it is a very dangerous bench. I wanted it to use to sit down in the shower and shave my legs. Not only was it very very low, not at all useful for showering because you'd lose balance and fall before you reach the seat, but it slides. When dry, the handles provide a bit of grip from friction. When wet, whole different story. Be prepared for the seat to slide out and dump you like a bad date. There were only maybe 5 inches between it and the tub floor. For that space, I might as well sit down on the tub floor and shave that way.I can't imagine someone frail trying to use this product with success. I'm going to bite the bullet and get the teak bench I know I should've gotten in the first place.

very useful and convenient
Great item. Light, sturdy, no assembly needed, easy to use/handle. Fits regular bath tub, just put it on the sides, nothing complicated.
