Poorly constructed with minimal instructions, my wood-working, crafty and handy spouse who happens to also play guitar (these are guitar strings) could not get the tension of the wires taunt enough to slice anything cleanly. Wire would get slack after one slice.

It does a great job on cutting cold process soap. I don't think I would use it on melt & pour soap. I like the fact it comes with 3 replacement wires. The instructions to put it together wasn't in english & it was a bit of a chore getting it together. If there were english instructions I'd have given it 5 stars.

This item is cheaply made the cutting wire is not even as thick as a cheese cutter wire .

I want to like it more, but more but it flexes as I cut. Makes it difficult to get even bars.

The old version that is still shown is great! however all of my wires finally broke so I went to order a new one. I used to love my old cutter but this one is so difficult to get the wire set up to cut anything and the pliers that are supplied are useless as well. I am returning this asap. I would rather just spend more money on a fancier one instead of wasting my time with this junk.

It's bamboo so washing it has to be a quick affair. No soaking, etc. Usually my soaps are hard enough that they don't get stuck in the cutting groove, but I had an experimental Castille batch that did. Otherwise, works great!

I would not recommend this product to anyone who cannot read Chinese or who has never assembled a product like this. It makes a funny noise when I use it to cut and I'm still not sure I assembled it correctly. I'm buying another cutter if I can be assured I can understand the instructions.

How do I get replacement wires? Broke 2 in first month.
