Perhaps one of the most valuable audio-oriented accessories you can own
This review will be centered primarily around audio-listening experiences. My current day audiophile listening sessions are now centered around audio components that I have by my desktop computer. I will relay to you what I experienced before and after the inclusion of this Audioquest US Power Cord below. To begin with, the speakers I'm using are all nearfield monitor types - mainly the active Edifier S350DB (a 2.1 system), the Edifier R1850DB's, and the R2000DB's. They are being fed via several DAC units - those being the iFi Zen DAC (feeding the S350DB's), the Soundavo HP DAC1 (feeding the R1850DB's), and the Schiit Modi 3 (feeding the R2000DB's). The listening test for this review was based around the ZenDAC/Edifier S350DB system. I use a variety of upgraded cables and recently purchased the astonishing iFi iPurifier3 USB Audio and Data Signal Filter/Purifier, shown here on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DLMZP5Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That iFi USB Purifier made a night and day difference in cleaning USB lines leading into your audio system. I cannot speak highly enough of it. Music came through with an increased purity that was immediately noticeable. Now enter the AudioQuest NRG-Y2 Power Cord. When I spotted this cord, I didn't know what to think at first. "A power cord to improve audio by providing cleaner power," I thought - "This has to be snake oil," I surmised. But the more I read about this cord (and others like it) on the web, the more I became curious so I ordered this 1 Meter (3 feet) version from Amazon - specifically to replace the cord that powers the active Edifier S350DB 2.1 system - shown here by the way on the below listed link: https://www.amazon.com/Edifier-Bookshelf-Subwoofer-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B077Y6PHKQ/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Edifier+S350DB&qid=1593809656&sr=8-2 When the cable arrived, the first thing that came to mind was that the photos on the web do NOT do this any justice. When you receive this cable, you will be astonished at how well constructed it is and how thick and solid it is. You seem to realize right away that things "must" get better audio-wise with this plugged into the chain - and I wasn't wrong on that one. In fact, after seeing and handling this Audioquest cable, you'll never look at other AC cables in the same light. Alright now to the sound - but let me first create an analogy here: Now picture one of those very narrow hoses you see advertised on TV, advertising how small a particular hose model is and how it shrinks to very compact size when the water is not being used. Problem is that regardless of what they tell you, these small super hoses still have a very narrow diameter inner rubber line through which the water flows. Sure, when turned on, the water may come out with a bit of high pressure, but both the volume and size of the water coming out is smaller. Now remove that hose and put on a larger (regular) model of hose. Now turn it on and watch how much more water comes out - with some hoses, the results can be astonishing. Now let's talk this Audioquest power cord. Prior to plugging in this Audioquest cable, I had the typical (standard) 2 prong cables that you get with just about any audio piece of equipment. The speakers sounded perfectly fine prior to connecting the Audioquest power cord - but I noticed that somehow, both the volume and dynamics seemed a bit held back - and this even with high quality 24 bit 96,000 Khz music streams that I downloaded. The speaker system sounded just fine and most would have been quite satisfied. Now when I removed the stock power cord and replaced it with this Audioquest power cord, I was not prepared to hear what followed - please read on: 1. Volume: All of a sudden the music volume (well, volume in general) was substantially louder. In fact, I had to turn down the Windows volume level, along with the iFi ZenDAC volume level, and the volume levels on the speakers (remember, they are active speakers) to get them to the same levels I had previously. I found this odd - and it was as if all of a sudden, instead of having that "small narrow hose," the music was now coming through at a greater volume (as if through the larger hose). 2. Dynamics: Another very obvious result was the audio dynamics expanded, providing greater "wallop" during orchestra climaxes (crescendos). Music had more weight - and this was not my imagination. I'm a very careful listener to be sure and what I experienced with the dynamics was remarkable. 3. Musical Clarity: Music seemed a bit clearer - as if a small veil had been lifted. Now do keep in mind that the iFi Purifier USB conditioner I alluded to earlier in this review is another one of this magical little devices that actually work. I reviewed that for their product reviews - look it up. But this Audioquest power cord is another audio accessory (or accessory in general - in particular for either audio or video usage - that works and you both hear and see the results right after connecting it. So no, it's definitely not snake oil. So I am enthusiastically recommending this particular replacement cord and if there were stronger superlatives that I could use to describe this cable, I would. But suffice it for now, I'm giving it a very strong 5 stars!!!

Great entry level cable.
Purchased this cable to replace my stock Samsung 4K flatscreen tv hooked up to my Yamaha AVR and 5.1 system. First noticeable change was improved image sharpness, better colour contrast and what almost seemed like less lag (smooth image transitions between scenes) The sound also had subtle improvements, with what sounds like a tighter more controlled lower end and increased silence in the sound stage when streamer from the tv to avr via Spotify or tidal. Build quality is fantastic, with the cable being extremely solid, right fitting connectors and a beautiful braid. Only negative is the cable is quiet thick so if you need to bend the power cord to fit some tight turns, it will be difficult.

A Pleasant Surprise
I understand that there are skeptics out there. I have spent my life explaining the differences in video and sound when higher end cables are used. With this cable, I wasnt expecting what happened. I was expecting expansive audio and I did get that. What I didnt expect was better video. Yeah, I know, WTH. SO, what I did was replace the standard power cable on the XBOX ONE S. From my computer building days, we learned that any fluctuation, noise, distortion in the electric line will resonate in capacitors and transistors and create an unintended frequency that will spread and affect other chips in the system. I figured the XBOX will transfer digital sound data over HDMI and thus have slightly improved sound. I did not expect it to affect the video. What it did on my set up was strengthen video clarity. Stability of the image and transitions from one frame to the next. As if the refresh rate increased, which I know isnt possible. For me, the conclusion is, the cleaner the power, the better the components will work and have less errors. I think the price is reasonable for the bump in quality.

Good value
No brainer for $100. Certainly doesn’t perform like a $1,000 PC but great fit for a Bluesound Node 2i

A good cable
I’m giving it 5 stars because of the build, it is high quality. Does it show a better picture and is the sound better than the other power cable that I have that is also an audioquest nrg-x2? No it is not.

Incredible Power Cord!
What a power cord! wow! It sure does provide a much improved picture quality image on my 55" Samsung TV. Images are sharper and much clear. It is not a night and day effect, but it does provide a much better noticeable Hi-Def picture. The construction is incredibly stunning, this includes the flexibility provided its thick construction/shielding. I wonder what will be the effect if used to power the cable box and the BD DVD player? Will it improve the signal?

Makes the Colors Pop....
Okay, I know that so many people are against spending so much money on a cable and many will call this snake oil and so on...... I see it this way, will you put regular gas in a BMW? Why spend so much money on something and not allow it to be utilized to it's potential? Let's face it, you buy a TV and it comes with a 99 cent cord.... For me, I spent $1500 on my Samsung Curve TV, which already had an amazing picture.... I've always been one to change power cords, always... I remember changing the power cord to my old pioneer elite plasma TV and WOW the difference it made was shocking..... So it made me think of a difference would be made with these LCD TVs.... And the answer is Hell yeah.... Immediately I noticed the colors were stronger, more vibrant.... I was shocked to see dark scenes stronger and more detailed.... It was an amazing difference, so it made me buy one for my PS4 Pro and playing Last of Us really showed how much this cable really makes a difference.... You can take my word for it or you can t st the waters for yourself and see the difference....

Received a day earlier than it was expected. Bought this to replace the cheap power cord of Bluesound node 2021. I was skeptical if it would make any difference in the sound quality. Glad I was wrong. Significant improvement in sound quality specially in higher frequencies. Bit expensive but worth it. Lesson learnt...power cables does make a difference in sound quality.

Cable definitely is a piece of eye candy compared to thin stock cords. Difference in sound quality on my streamer is subtle yet noticeable. Slightly more weight to the bass. The seller, Filtronique was great as well. Quick to ship, would deal with again!
