Guitar Fret Wire - Super-Durable Stainless Steel Medium Gauge - Six Feet

I like these stainless steal fret wire for the reason that they look awesome. They are way harder than the nickel & silver one. String bending is definitely easier. They do not wear out the easy. I'm not an expert on fretting guitar. But I certainly was not afraid of learning. The stainless steal is a little hard to work with because the tang is too small for the medium, medium/medium and medium highest is 1.47 mm and the others are 1.27 and if you don't have a perfect fret channel it will pop out at one end or the other. In order to work with this problem what i have done was I bought the fingerboard radius block a C- clamp and a piece of 1/4 wood to protect the bottom of the fingerboard. 1 Prepare the fret wire hammer it in and put 20- Medium Super Glue on both side of the fret once it has been hammer in. Wipe the excess. Clamp the fret wire with C-Clamp and let it dry. After glue dries, file away the excess glue and do the same thing with all of them if have any problems. Don't be afraid. I messed up two guitars before I started to gain experience. I love to do this job. Happy fretting.

Great product! I did not carefully research the size and ordered the wrong size, NOT the sellers fault. So I ordered the same thing in the right size. they are ever so slightly tighter than a 9.5 radius, which makes them perfect for a 9.5 radius guitar fretboard.

I got the wrong ones when I ordered this, but the seller sent me the correct ones and they feel great. As long as you have the right tools to cut the Stainless steel you will have no issues with these. The Jescar fret wire is good and hard and will last for a very long time.

I got about 3/4 of the way done with the refret on a customers acoustic guitar and found that the wire in the bag was a mix between nickel and stainless. It’s jescar wire allright… but it not all stainless….its easy to tell stainless from nickel with bigger wire just from the way it cuts.. but with acoustic wire, it’s more subtle and sadly, I didn’t notice until I was almost done…. And the customer needs the guitar back this weekend….. i’ve been working with stainless wire for over ten years…. I know the difference…. But until i got a piece that “snapped” instead of “chunked” when i cut it… i didn’t think to check because it said “stainless” on the label….. What a nightmare.

The quality of these parts looks great. No idea how they perform yet but it seems clear they will be perfect for the intended task.

My only complaint would be that these are on the small side of a medium fret wire. Next time I will use the next size up.

First time fretting a guitar and first time with the stainless steel.Plays good, feels good...I am sure the SS is a little more work than nickel steel, but it was still easy enough to work.Take your time and you'll have results you like and frets that last a long time.

I am making a one of a kind instrument and this product fit the bill perfectly.
