HALOZ HZ01Turbo PRO Modular Snowboard Illumination System

I recently bought these for myself and all I have to say is they are absolutely amazing. From the feel of riding with them to the awesome aurora of colorful lights around your feet lighting up the mountain. I have had so many people stop me and follow me down the mountain taking poictures or videos of me now because of the super bright and cool Haloz. They are very bright and work amazing and the battery life is very good (Used them two days in a row without a charge and worked all day both days, I do turn them off when waiting in lift lines and whilst on the lift). The only complaint I have on them is the charging port rubber plugs flew off one of mine and now its just an open charging port. I would like to see a more sturdy construction of a plug so no water seeps inside the Haloz light discs. Other that that they are such a great purchase and well worth the price and well worth the never ending "Ooo's" and "Ahh's" on the mountain.

The haloz is an excellent item due to design and ease of installation into a snowboard. The lights mount right underneath the binding with 4 screws that come with the package. I did run into an issue where my haloz were a tad faulty and ceased working after one season, but with some contact with customer service, I was able to use a fresh set not long after. The lights also got me a lot of attention on the mountain and I had many people come up to me asking for pictures with my snowboard. The lights last me all day on a full charge.

Gave this to my husband as a gift and he got a lot of compliments on the mountain. The lights give a very cool effect on the snow and it is easy to spot my husband on the mountain now. Only a few downsides, one being the rubber stoppers to the charging ports came off during our first night using it. HALOZ customer service sent out new ones promptly. My husband is pretty handy so I am hopeful he'll find a way to secure this while he rides so they don't pop off again. Other downside is that the screws may be too long and my husbands bindings were a little loose the entire night. But again, he is pretty handy and will either shorten the screws or use different ones. If HALOZ were to fix these 2 issues this would definitely be a 5 STAR PRODUCT. This was a review based on the first use. I am not able to comment on the longevity of the product yet, but can update later.

These things made my son the most popular guy on the mountain. Everyone saw him, everywhere he went, and everyone wanted to know more about the lights. New friends were yelling at him from the lifts. After one night at ski club, he knew kids from 4 different schools and after a few trips it seemed like he was the mayor of the mountain. I bought a set for my younger daughter and it instantly increased her love of the sport. Every lift line and every pack of kids that went by turned into positive feedback. She loved the attention. So I bought a pair for myself. You will never lose each other again. They can be seen in daylight and are SPECTACULAR at night. 360 illumination but not in your eyes. Dozens of light modes, chasing lights etc. The bindings are paired together and the patterns are synchronized so looks very cool. You can lock each remote to a board or you can link a group of boards to one remote. You should see the show when the three of us are spraying Haloed powder together on a run. My son hits rails, slides and big jumps without any damage. I’m 200 lbs and mine have held up. You get a slight rise out of them which I like. My daughter is a beginner and had no problems with it. You can recharge from a phone charger battery brick on the mountain. You may need longer screws for the bindings, and I recommend blue locktite for the screws. Keep the remote in a warm place on the mountain so it will work when needed. Bottom can be easily removed if maintenance is needed, the electronics are simple. Bring a lock for your board because these draw a LOT of attention and we constantly find people checking out our equipment. I’d buy yours soon because you can’t get them in ski-shops and they are not always in stock online. I just ordered a fourth set for Mom so she can look like one of the cool kids.

One of the batteries was dead in the package. And they come with only one kind of screw set; there are three different size of screws for bindings. So it may not fit on your bindings. They can be short or long. Also they said it is waterproof (and it should be), but this Haloz illumination system require to remove all snow right after riding and dry it. It does not seem to be waterproof. Lastly, the charging ports are not sealed well. They are capped with rubber, and it is not tight al all.

These lights work great. My son loves them. He gets a lot of attention on the mountain with people asking him about them. Had an issue with the discs not working. Contacted them and immediately had me send them in for repair. Found out that due to the bolts loosening up it caused damage to the disc and water got in. He fixed them at no charge and had them back to me within a couple of days. Most companies will not do that! Make sure you use thread lock on the bolts and check to make sure they are tight!

These lights are awesome! I have received so many compliments. There customer service is fantastic. I have a Never Summer Board with Burton bindings so the screws were not quite long enough & Cory rushed me a new set right away. He said this happens very rarely but they took care of it immediately. The light on the lowest setting lasted almost 24 hours & on the highest settings over 3 hours. The ½ inch rise actually made my carving even more enjoyable. Because of Covid night riding has not opened up yet here and I can’t wait for it!

My son really likes the haloz, he is the coolest snowboarder on the mountain! He gets all the attention :) We encountered some issues at first but when I reached out to the seller I received the best customer service possible . My email was answered very promptly, seller was very helpful and promised to fix the issue and within a week we got the haloz all working properly . They are lots of fun!

My son had hope these would be as amazing as they looked but sadly they broke after a very short period. Poor quality. Living in Canada the sale also said it included shipping and handling but not long after we paid way too much for them I received a huge bill from the courier wanting a bunch of fees and taxes from Canada customs. Tried to contact Amazon, the seller and Courier. Absolutely disgusting money grab from all parties. Shame on this company, shame on Amazon, I will never used Fed-Ex ever again and even angry at my own government as this was a huge bill. If you live in Canada DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS!!
