Well Made
I bought this to use an adjustable support for rear of a rifle stock for bench rest shooting. I have the fancy made for purpose front rest that adjusts every which of way and you can level. In the rear I was stacking shooting bags. But they settle down and I couldn't quickly return to target between shots. Using this platform with a tightly packed bag on top allows me to shoot more accuatley. The knob and finely threaded adjustment rod allows for precise adjustments when I need to change which target I am shooting. So I rarely have to change the front rest anymore since I can vary the height so easily from the rear. For those using it for other purposes, I highly recommend it. There is no lost play in the adjustment mechanism. No sharp edges or anything to make it seem a cheaply made product. I am using it only 3 inches high so stability is not a concern. However, if you are using it for the purpose it was designed for, I am confident that of the ones I see for sale on Amazon that this one is worth the price.

Working well.
I've purchased 2 of these on Amazon and of the 2. This is the better, and this is the same price. The other was difficult to use while in use. This was relatively easy when the mantle was there.

works as advertized
bought for use as a front rest for target shooting , many actual front rest are too tall for my use , this makes it posable to have the same rear rest for several guns , the lift has no play and the smallest amount of give to it , not as solid as a 20 pound front rest but way better than a bipod or stacking bags

What you see is not what you get
I shelled out the extra coinage because this item looked more refined than some of the other brands. The item pictured for sale looks great with fine finished aluminum. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE. Compare to my photos. The top and bottom plates have two different shades of blue anodizing, which looks like crap. The edges of the platforms are sharp as knives, no effort whatsoever was made to break the edges after cutting the extrusion. The finish on the scissor arms is hideous. Mine was also dropped on the corner BEFORE it was anodized. You can see that smashed corner in my pix. Overall the finish of this product is hideous and I knocked two stars off for that. The function of the unit seems ok. The knob is much smaller than pictured and is very difficult to crank when the platform is almost completely collapsed. There are 4 rubber feet on the bottom which is nice. It does the job but I'm miffed I spent more thinking I was going to receive a professionally machined product.

Extremely useful and functional
This product is a true saver of time and effort. I used it to assist me in replacing a 3/4 HP disposal under my kitchen sink. I am a senior citizen and not as strong as I once was! This made the job go effortlessly and comfortably. I'm certain I will find additional uses for this great lift, but the fact I could replace the disposal (old - out; new - in) has MORE than paid for it!!!!!Highly recommended!

Lift me up
Product is exactly what I needed and this was delivered in spades. I am a woodworker who neede an exact way to place items to be drilled in precise locations. These items were up to 5 ft long. I was work g in a 3/4 inch range with a need to precisely center my piece on both a vertical and horizontal range. The later let’s me do this when using both it and the drill press stage

Sharp edges. Warped top.
You'd think they'd have processed the edges and corners of the rough cut extrusions making up the top and bottom plates, even a little, before anodizing. Nope. They are just rough cut and have (now anodized) burrs and sharp edges and corners. You can see the burrs in the pics. Sliced my finger open on one. It's completely unfinished, just went right into the anodizing tank after it was rough-cut to size.I'll need to file the edges and corners myself, ruining the anodizing, but making the thing safe to handle. I deal with a lot of sharp tools for metalworking and woodworking, but I was surprised at how bad the finish was on this, especially for the price.Additionally, the top and bottom plates are both warped. You won't be able to rest a beaker or other round-bottomed container on it in any stable way. It's about a 3mm difference in the edges vs the center. The top is worse than the bottom. The bottom has rubber feet, so it can get away with it. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because the lifting mechanism is just a little too big for this, but also , a poorly designed extrusion like this is bound to warp anyway. So if you plan to use this in any traditional lab way, I would not consider it fit for purpose.

Some assembly required.
This is a Chinese made lab jack, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good product. Here I list the good and bad with the one I purchased.Good:Does its job, stays put.Big enough to hold 1000ml heating mantle.Decent quality.Has threaded hole for vertical rod.Bad:Box was in shambles. No rubber center or inset for one.Set screws weren’t tight so guide rods were all wonky.Rubber foot pad screws loose.A bit harder to raise than others I’ve used.A little too much grease on threads.Overall, I can’t really complain. Once I set the guide rods and locked the set screws and tightened/cleaned everything else up the thing seems as solid as I’d need. It’s not designed for lifting a whole lot of weight, especially if that weight is not evenly distributed or moves. As a lab jack for a heating mantle, and other laboratory usages it’s a solid piece of equipment.
