Great camera! Great price! Buy it!
The camera install went very well. Actually, I found a problem with my 2003 F250 tail light harness that I had to fix first before installing the camera. I hooked it into the stereo in my truck and it works really well. Very clear pictureOnly reason for 4 star is that I had a connection problem with the camera plug to av cable connection. Connector was hard to connect properly and gave poor reception until I got it on right and then it was great.Would recommend for others to buyUpdated Feb 13-2020: customer got back to me about my connection issue with good support.Everything working great, I’ll probably buy another for my mother!Great job Xroose!Update August 2021: the camera stopped working suddenly but I contacted Xroose and they gave me the usual GREAT service and support and are sending me a new replacement! Now that is awesome customer service!I’m very happy with the company. Thank you Rose for your great support!Another update Sept 6, 2021:The original camera was actually fine and there was a problem with my original wiring job. I corrected that and offered to pay Xroose for the second camera they sent, but they let me keep it for free!Incredible service! Thanks Xroose!

EZ install works great so far
I put this one a later model SUV without a back up camera and so far it works great - comes with optional grid lines so you can estimate distance etc. Works well in both Daylight and Evening with the IR lights.

Mount is a bit flimsy, but the camera is ok!
Right out of the box, the small mount that holds the camera to the bracket is VERY easily bent. Would not advise stressing it too much as it feels like I could snap it off. Love that it mounts behind the plate, giving it a cleaner look. Picture quality is pretty good. I already had a rear view camera installed, but had failed. I replaced it with this guy, so it was pretty much plug and play! Would have liked to see the reverse LED's on a separate circuit. As giving the camera ACC 12v, the LED's are on all the time. I've covered them with some black tape as I don't want them on all the time and have bright enough reverse lights.

Nice backup cam
I decided to add a backup camera to my truck instead of getting out a few times to check the ball every time I hooked up a trailer. I have a wire grommet in my firewall so it was easy to run the wire through, I did have to cut the video connector off and resplice back in the cab. It's just 3 wires non shielded, so you can do whatever you want to it as long as you splice it correctly. That saved me from putting a 1/2" hole in my grommet for a 1/8 wire. Video quality is good enough, that might be my old radio (2014) I'm not sure, but I can see the ball so that's all I need. And it works great.

Simple, clean Install. Good day and night image. Optional parking guidelines.
I've been wanting to add a backup camera to my 2008 Miata. I wanted to avoid drilling holes for mounting. I focused on cameras that mount using the license plate bolts. Some units appear to mount in front of the plate. This unit mounts from behind and I was able to install it while leaving my plastic plate frame in place. The camera wire comes out the back of the camera, so to make room for the wire to pass around the frame, I ground a notch with a Dremel tool in the frame. This minimized pressure on the wire while the frame still protects the wire from rubbing directly on the edge of the plate. You can see the discreet routing of the wire in the second photo. If you don't have a frame, consider placing a bit of silicone to anchor the wire at the edge of the plate to avoid cable damage due to vibration against the sharp edge.I drilled a 3/8" hole into the trunk behind the plate to pass the connector through and sealed with silicone sealant. Connections are simple. Black to ground. Red to the positive (red wire) on the backup light. I am using a multimedia head unit for the display and the yellow video cable connector plugs into the back. The red pigtail attached to each end of the video cable is used to feed the backup indication to the head unit so it knows to display the backup camera when the car is put in reverse. Attach this red wire along with the red power wire to the backup light. Attach the red pigtail at the other end to the reverse sensor wire on the head unit. With that, you are good to go.The camera displays guidelines by default, but with the snip of a small wire loop, this can be disabled. My head unit can display lines that can be calibrated to the view, so I appreciate the ability to choose whether to keep or turn off the feature on the camera itself. Both day and night operation are crisp and plenty bright. I highly recommend this unit.

Fantastic Back Up Camera
I installed a reverse (back up) camera for only one purpose really, to line up with my horse trailer when trying to hook up. This camera does the trick quite nicely- I currently have it connected via a direct video feed wire to my receiver deck. I actually purchased this one to replace a cheaper model whose lens filled with water during one of our Oregon rain storms. So far this camera works great and is much more clear with correct colors on screen (not that I care about that to be honest). I've read a few reviews complaining about the lens getting wet and not being able to see well, but this isn't an issue with the camera, it's the location that it's installed in and that it doesn't have a shroud to attempt to reduce exposure to rain (which in my experience doesn't help). Well worth the price, only time will tell if it will continue to remain water resistant as stated! Also as an FYI- I have the power directly spliced into one of my back-up lights, so the camera only turns on when I'm in reverse, and that gave me a close power supply to run off of.

Easy to install, mount is a bit cheap and flimsy but great camera
This camera was mounted on my truck but I could not get it to be level. I did try bending the camera mount a little to level it and tried leveling the frame mount itself but if the camera itself was level, the mounting was crooked. Overall the camera quality was okay but the mount was a little flimsy and couldn't get it level. I bought a different one.
