this works well in the micro for covering your food. light weight. easy to clean.

The media could not be loaded.  My previous splatter guard often touched the food because handle indented towards plate of food. This splatter guard is about an inch taller and has no handle indentation. It's Easy to clean. When i first got it, i was wondering how i was going to easily lift it off a plate, but it has a slight rim which makes it easy to pick up. Hopefully my video will show you what you want to know. I'm pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to friends. Price was reasonable.

And I like it a lot. Don't know why it took me so long to get a microwave splatter cover. All the years I could've avoided aggravation and anger from big messes in the microwave. This works great and I can't imagine being without it now. When I put something in the microwave I don't even think about if it might splatter, I just cover it with this. So, sooo easy to clean if you make a point to rinse it after each use.

It is taller than most covers, nice fit over bowls.It has a ridge a quarter inch from the bottom, so it is easy to pick up when hot. some designer really put thought into that.It has a lot of little holes, so the steam can escape easily without burning the user, but the splatter doesn't doesn't escape.The slight color of the plastic is clear enough to see through, but helps the water spots not show. This makes it so we can reuse it many times before having to clean it.It is large--but your microwave would have to be tiny for this not to fit inside.The plastic is sturdy, not so light it flexes, but light enough even for someone with arthritis to use.If you've been thinking about buying one of these, this is the one you want to buy.EDIT, 2 years later: Still love this thing. You'd think it wouldn't be a big deal, but it makes it so much nicer to use the microwave. No more randomly pulling plates or plastic to cover everything. The little holes let the pressure out, but are small enough to not let the messy stuff splatter out. Easy to clean. And that rim a half inch from the bottom is pure design genius. I'll probably never buy another one, so all I can do is encourage others to buy this! Maybe I'll buy them as gifts--they look like a strange gift, but oh how useful!

It does what it claims to do. I have a 0.9 cu.ft. Kenmore countertop microwave and the lid has enough space to fit inside. The circumference of the lid is equal to my 10.5 inch dinner plates - sits flush on top of it. There are holes on top to let steam out. The plastic is neither too thick nor too thin and it's a bluish transparent color. Cleaning is easy as there aren't too many notches. It's not high enough for some of my bowls but I just let it sit on top of the bowls. I've had it for a month now and am happy that there's less splatter to clean inside the microwave. At this price (~$6), I'll be happy if it lasts a year with daily use.

I don't know how people manage to melt their microwave food covers. It is a microwave cooker not a regular oven. Don't put things in there for like 20 minutes!Very sturdy plastic, perfect size, covering a decent dinner plate size. We use the microwave primarily for reheating and defrosting. Not for cooking a meal. So I don't think I can melt this even if I wanted to.

Was soll man sagen. Er macht das was er soll. Ist vernünftig verarbeitet. Wurde fix geliefert. Sorgsam verpackt. Alles in allem gibt es nix zu beanstanden. Danke.

La mienne avait fondu dans le micro-ondes, j'ai donc acheté celle-ci plus solide, plus épaisse et durable.
