what material is the glue made of? How to remove the stickers gently from a painted wall?

it's heavy duty adhesive I would not use on painted wall, on glass or metal would be ok. I found heat and a razor blade works best

They aren't strong enough to attach to any wall that is textured. So, a painted wall wouldn't work. These are best used on hard flat plastic or glass surfaces. Something very very smooth and flat.

Will this work ok a glass door to hang a wreath?

It says it works on flat glass, frosted glass and mirrors. I haven't tried it on a door but it has worked on SMOOTH surfaces for me.

how much weight can the hooks hold???

I really don't know. I have them in my bathroom to hold the washing cloths.
