is it slippery to walk or run on the surface? or does it have some grip to it?

It’s sort of like plastic wrap you would use in the kitchen, but has a sticky side that adheres to the floor so it protects but doesn’t allow it to slide. Surface would feel like walking on plastic wrap.

Can this be used on glass, for a safer removal?

If you are referring to moving a large glass object like a mirror or coffee table top, I wouldn’t. It is great on the floor and on the countertops while we were remodeling our kitchen but it isn’t thick enough to stop shards of glass from coming through should the glass break.

Will this protect hardwood floors from a visiting large dog?

It's a plastic film so it depends upon if the dog has sharp nails or not. if the nails are sharp it will probably still cut through the plastic film and not provide protection.

Can this be used in the garage during winter months to keep the floor clean?

The stuff wouldn’t even stick to my clean hardwood floors so I don’t think it would stick too well to a garage floor.
