It's wildly inaccurate
I just bought this radar gun a few weeks ago. Tried it out for the first time. I threw 3 pitches with the same effort. The readings were 55, 96, and 73. The 30-day return window expired, so I just wasted $805. Do not buy this product.

Comparison Vs Bushnell
I came to the stalker 2 from the bushnell gun after reading numerous times that the bushnell gun runs slow. This isn't the whole story.I tested both guns side-by-side on balls pitched from a hack attack pitching machine, balls hit off a tee, and balls hit off of the hack attack (exit velocity). The reality is that for pitches from 40-81mph (highest settings on machine) the guns matched up relatively well. The Stalker 2 was as much as 3mph higher than the bushnell at the lower velocities (40-50) when the guns had a close, direct line of site. However roughly 10% of the time the bushnell would completely misread a pitch by 10mph or so, whereas the stalker 2 picked up every pitch accurately. So when both guns picked up the pitch accurately, the velocity was somewhat consistent. The stalker is simply more sensitive, and registers the pitch sooner and completely reliably from numerous positions. This is exacerbated as velocity increases, so at times I'd have roughly a 4-5mph difference on pitches both guns picked up at top velocity. When a close, direct line of site is unavailable, such as being 10-15 feet behind the catcher, or slightly off to the side, again the stalker was substantially more accurate, and the bushnell missed even more frequently. Now exit velocity is where the stalker really sets itself apart. Off the tee, from behind a net, this gun picks up a much wider area, and increases as you back away from the batter. From 15 feet away, I found that at least half the time the bushnell was picking up the bat, whereas the stalker always picked up the ball, so many of the balls that seemed mis-hit with the bushnell were simply not registered, and we would see a =/- 50% difference in readings between guns, especially on fly balls. The bushnell really only picks up a line drive right back at the gun.The same holds true for pitches hit off the machine, where the bushnell is basically useless, but the stalker picks up all the exit velocities, especially from 10 feet or so behind the machine. After a handful of pitches I just put the bushnell down and continued with the stalker, as the bushnell failed to read anything but the pitch. Also of note: the stalker 2 screws onto a standard camera tripod with no mounting bracket required, so it’s now mounted to an Amazon basics tripod, set behind a small screen. The trigger is not required to capture a reading, so I can catch bullpen and read the gun simultaneously. So my verdict is if you are looking for a fun toy to monitor a young athlete's pitching from close proximity to the mound, the bushnell is a decent value. If you want something accurate and consistent that can pick up exit velocity, this is the gun. We learned a lot about my son's swing today from the stalker that we can use right away.

Great product at a great price
I bought this radar after returning a cheaper brand for having inconsistent and inaccurate readings. The Stalker Sport 2 had very consistent readings. I am very happy for great quality at this price.
