Feit ElectricBPMR16/GU10/800/LED Dimmable Spot Light Bulb

I bought a range hood a while ago, and shortly afterwards, the incandescent bulb it came with burned out. I bought a replacement pack of ten bulbs, and figured I'd be good for a while. I went through a bulb every 9-12 months. I figured, okay, it's a hot, stressful environment for a bulb, so it's not unusual to have it fail quickly. Still, it had me worried about the wiring, so I was hesitant to buy an expensive LED bulb, just for it to wear and die quickly.As it became obvious that LED bulbs were here to stay, and that it was pretty irresponsible to keep churning incandescent bulbs through there, I bought one of these for one of the sockets to try it out, while using the remaining incandescent bulbs in the other socket. It is now five years later, and the LED bulb is still going strong. I am, however, down to my last incandescent bulb, so I'm back to buy another one of these. The reduced hassle of having to swap the bulbs out alone makes it worth the money. (The bulbs are flush-mounted, so I need to use tape to unscrew them without taking the hood apart.)Here's hoping that their 22-year lifespan is accurate, and the old bulb still has another 17 left on it.It's plenty bright. They say 40-watt equivalent, which seems about right, maybe a little low. My hood with two bulbs has plenty of light for the stove. The translucent instead of transparent shield makes it less glaring than my other bulbs, while still being plenty bright.It's a very warm color, no blueish tinge. Their measure of 2700k seems accurate.

I've had NO problem with the 4 bulbs I just purchased, but wanted to know if Feit recommended them for fan bulb replacement & was wondering about warranty - says 2 years on package but not exactly how to act on it. So, I emailed them on the feit.com site. They did answer with where to mail a defective bulb back to them. Hopefully after purchasing $65 worth of bulbs, they really will last. They seem sturdy & are light in weight so they are working great on my dimmable & variable speed light/fan for the 24 hours they've been installed. Time will tell if they are worth the $65 I paid on Amazon.I have tried similar bulbs from Lowes & ended up returning them because the dimmable aspect didn't work well. The Feit one dims well & this sort of bulb is so light in weight that my fan no longer has any vibration at full speed:) They go far enough up into the shades that they don't hurt your eyes, & their light is just like the incandescent ones they replaced. If we buyers have! problems you can contact them on feit.com & they will send their mailing address for defective bulbs. Revised! 4 yrs working!

Good light for a smaller lamp, but it does a weird fade when it turns off (kind of like turning off a tv). But the light is a good color, and it is LED which I love.

This bulb is rated to work for 15 years and although it certainly hasn't been 15 years since I installed this into a curio cabinet, it works great! The amount of light coming from it which is overhead and the very top, is just right. All shelves are glass so the light emanates nicely to the lowest point. Great deal. Previous bulbs, which were halogen, lasted only a few months. We have the curio on for about 6 hours a day, everyday. We are very happy with this product and if it lasts 15 years that would be quite a bonus.

I normally don't write reviews. I was very skeptical about this light. We still use 85 watt incandescent BR bulbs (I purchased a ton of them years ago) because we couldn't find replacements that we liked. Having used FEIT before, I decided to give these a try. All I can say is WOW. Not only do these look like the old bulbs in terms of color temperature, they are significantly brighter. We have three bulbs like this in our bathroom and I replaced just one and it looked just like the other two bulbs except brighter. Even the wife was happy. I replaced the other two and it looks terrific. My problem now is what am I going to do with all fo the 85 watt incandescent bulbs I still have in the garage. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend these bulbs if you need to replace BR size and want the 85 watt lighting.

Given that these are 5-10x the cost of equivalent no name lights, you'd expect them to be rock solid but one of the three I bought has started flickering after 4 years. That's not a bad life for one of the cheap ones but the 22 year rating on these is a joke. Maybe the led will last that long but the electronics don't seem like they will. For comparison, these are $15 each and I'm replacing them with some off brand ones that are brighter, use less power, and cost $20 for a 10 pack. Even if one of those go out every 6 months, they're still a better deal.

Wolf reduced the number of light bulbs in their hood from 4 to 2. As a result, my wife complained that the light while making dinner was too dim, particularly as the winter has eliminated sunlight.I used these FEIT light bulbs to restore the light. Two 800 lumen light bulbs seem to work as well as the old model's four 400 lumen light bulbs. I have a happy wife again.We've had the Feit bulbs for just two weeks. I can't comment on the lifespan. One weakness of LED lights vs. halogen is their sensitivity to heat. In the past, I've had LED bulbs fail prematurely, most likely from the heat of the stove. I don't have any information on how well these light bulbs will hold up over time.The light bulbs fit perfectly in the space allowed.If someone is looking to increase the brightness of their GU10 bulbs over a range, these bulbs do the trick.

I received a 2-pack of these bulbs and Both were faulty. Light flickers even when the power is off! How does that happen?! I would like them to replace the product without me going to the hassle of returning the bulb.

Superior lighting for curio cabinet. Replaced a high heat, underpowered halogen with this bulb that can be left on without adding significantly to electric bill or heat build-up in your cabinet.Very few makers of this type of bulb, so they get you on the price compared to other LED bulbs.Additionally, it will dim or handle low/high settings without flicker. High quality.

Little expensive but dims without any flickering or noise which is unusual in my experience.
