Supacaz Prizmatik Tape (Blue)

Is color reflection in the sunlight is totally epic!! Had so many compliments on the color from tons of people. Very easy to install and it’s water resistant. It definitely has a longer life in use vs other bar taps. Wouldn’t recommend applying to aero bars.

I look like a rockstar! Not the cushiest tape but holy wow does it look good.

Do it just for looks or don’t do it at all. I wanted something cute for a century I was doing. On one of my training rides we had a lot of mist and rough road. I was white knuckling to hold on my hands were on fire by the end of the ride. No. Just don’t.

I really wanted to like this stuff. Looked like it would add a little zazz to my bike. But it's not a good idea for bar tape. For one thing, it's fairly hard plastic, so it's not pliable enough to smoothly wrap around bends. Also, again, slippery plastic... how would that be under sweaty palms or rain?TBH, it looks really good under certain lighting conditions - (see photo 1) but on close inspection, the wrapping looks clunky. I've wrapped a bit of bar tape in my day, so I know how it's done. This stuff is just not stretchy or pliable. Still, I gave it two stars because, well, it really looks great, and I'll probably use it for yard art or something. Something that doesn't call for bends or grip.

Ho provato nastri molto meno costosi e infinitamente più elastici.Esteticamente carino il colore, ma super rigido e impossibile da tirare nelle curve della piega. Materiale plasticoso, adesivo con bassissima tenuta, è stata una tortura montarlo. In foto il confronto tra il nastro vecchio (comprato su Amazon per neanche 10€) di un marchio meno blasonato, di qualità nettamente superiore.

Looks great, but offers no grip or comfort/cushioning. With sweaty hands or sunscreen-y hands it's quite dangerous. It would probably be okay with under wrap, but I wouldn't buy this again by itself
