I’ve removed the varnish, scraped off residue and water wiped it but still very sticky. What do I do??

Does this work on metal radiators? Is it wipe off or scrape off?

I used it on wood but don't see why it wouldn't work on metal. I would use wire wool to take it off (assuming you're going to repaint). The important point about this stuff is that it works well, but needs to be left for quite a time to do so.
