Must read for tips and if you have pets!
Ive had this product for about a month now. I freaking love it. We have 5 pets, a short haired dog that sheds like crazy, a long haired cat that sheds like crazy, a short haired cat and two short haired kittens. We have a zoo. This vac-mop works so well picking up dirt and stuff off the floor and gives me peace of mind knowing its wiped clean at the same time. Another thing i love about this is that i can go over my washable (ruggable) rugs with ease and it vacuums and mops the rugs. And if you use the sanitizer youll know your rugs are as clean as they can be without putting them in the washer. Although, with having so many shedding pets and cats that track litter (we use natural grass litter so i cant speak about clay) youll have to rinse the mechanism and roller multiple times throughout the job depending on how many rooms you have. There is a clear top so you can see the roller, so if you pay attention as youre working youll see the hair clumping and know when to clean the equipment. Its way easier than having to vacuum with a normal vacuum (sometimes even multiple times to get everything) and then break your back mopping on top of that. But it can get real gross built up with hair that youll have to pull out with your hands and litter will clump up. We have a utility sink which makes this process much easier for me as i can rinse most of it down the drain after i pull off the large clumps. but if you dont have that you might need to hose it off outside or wipe it clean with a paper towel or if you dont mind using your sink then by all means, but i wouldn’t recommend doing this with litter in it. On top of cleaning it throughout the job youll have to give it one last good clean before putting it up until next time or it will stink. I rinse everything really well and have just started soaking it in a vinegar and water solution but i dont think that’s necessary. The only thing that i believe is necessary is cleaning the roller thoroughly with soap and wringing it out as it will stink the most. I would also recommend 1. Leaving everything to air dry before reassembling and 2. Running water through the tube thats inside the actual vacuum where all the water sucks up into the dirty water tank. That part builds up with hair. Cleaning it all together is fairly easy in my opinion. The device is quite compact and easy to store. And the noise level is really not that bad in comparison to regular vacuums. The battery life could be better though imo but all and all this thing is a life saver and i love it.

Read the instructions!
I love this machine. It makes my life so much easier and does everything I need it to do.That said, the self cleaning feature is just for cleaning the *inside*, non visible, parts.I learned a valuable, if disgusting, lesson today.DO NOT skip, or forget to clean all of the parts as instructed. It's not difficult, and should only take a few minutes to do.I got distracted after running the self cleaning function on it last week and it got left to sit.The results were disgusting, but a thorough cleaning of the unit as instructed, 4 times, followed by soaking the removable parts in bleach solution for a couple of minutes did the trick.Rewashed my floors, then cleaned it again, the way I should have, and all is shiny and disinfected.Make sure to repeat the self cleaning function until no more debris shows up in the dirty bin, then clean all of the individual removable parts and let them completely dry before reassembling. It sounds like it's more effort than it is. It's easy and it's so important.

Poor then nonexistent suction.
The machine worked well for the first 2 months then began leaving puddles of dirty water on the floor. The spray is automatic so one can’t even stop the spray to try to suck up the excess water. I followed all cleaning and troubleshooting directions but at best I get about 1 minute of correct operation before the suction disappears and the puddles appear. If I clean out the head I can get another half minute of cleaning. I clean the filter but haven’t replaced it. It’s hard to imagine that that is the problem since I see water running through the filter easily.I will try vacuuming the floor first to see if I can get a little more running time since it seems that the suction is easily affected by crumbs but this machine is a huge disappointment. My children have the Tineco which was more expensive but has worked flawlessly.

I had high hopes for this vacuum mop from Bissel
This Bissel vacuum mop wasn't what I expected. From the surface it will take care of lite to medium items on the floor but compact items may take time to clean it will take several passes to remove but concerns are that most of use won't look underside of the vacuum which will collect solids that you were trying to clean, thinking all items was sucked into the dirty water container. So, if you are experiencing strong smells after you been cleaning for few days take a look underside you may see compact debris that didn't get sucked up staying behind the roller and also remove the roller you will see more stuck on debris that didn't completely go into the tank, some nasty stuff behind the roller and bottom of vacuum that didn't go into the tank. I'm a caregiver and you know what I mean, I'm returning this item not right equipment for the job I will stick with a mop and bucket.

Not the greatest
This works but could be better. The tank is small. I have a 1300 sq. foot home and the tank barely cleans the living room and kitchen wood floors. My dogs always leave paw prints on the wood floors after the morning dew, and I have to go over them twice to diminish the appearance. It beats mopping, but for the price I paid it was not worth it. I would have gotten a Shark steamer if my fundage allowed.
