Lucas Oil 40008 Power Steering Stop Leak - 355ml

I had a leak in my power steering for 2/3 weeks, I was topping it up every few days and my driveway looked terrible from the leak. I already had a small suction pump so I just sucked out the remaining fluid that was left in the reservoir tank, poured in 3/4 of the bottle (that filled the tank again) and left it to see how it was. It completely stopped the leak and had no more problems with the power steering.Just to add, even though I topped it up to full and the leak stopped, you may have to top it up a little in a couple of days as it thins out when hot, the level drops slightly.

Great stuff but if you have small pools from leak will definitely not work. I have a fairly heavy leak and this does slow it down a little but unfortunately still there!

I bought this as after reading various online reviews and tips. I thought it might work to reduce the noise in my PAS system, as others seem to have had success with it. Initially I was really pleased; as after adding the Lucas fluid the noise completely disappeared. The steering was also a lot smoother. However after a few weeks now it has come back. The steering is no longer as smooth. I didn't buy this as a stop leak so I cannot comment on that aspect. If the effect for stop leak is the same as that for reducing noise then it could also possibly diminish with time. I've given a 3* review as it seems very fair considering although it didn't work for me as I was hoping for noise reduction, as opposed to stop leak, the claimed improvements in smoothness have also worn off.

Says in big letters on front of bottle fixes any leaked guaranteed or your money back. Rubbish used half a bottle twice over 2 days. Each morning the contents were dripping on my drive. Amazon won't give me refund and Lucas want a picture from where the the liquid is leaking from. I'm sorry Lucas but without removing the engine that task is impossible. DONT BUY. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS WOULD BE TOO EASY. AMERICAN SCAM.

Didn't completely stop the leak, think it was a little too far gone but definitely slowed it down enough to get a few more months from the part.Would work better for slower leaks.

I have bought a bottle of this last weekend for my Mitsubishi shogun sport. The power steering box had a small leak and the pump was making noises. I removed some of the current power steering fluid from the reservoir and replaced it with Lucas oil. I then took vehicle for a short drive and then let set for an hour or two. When I started the vehicle again the noises were gone. The next morning looked under the steering box and could not see any leaking. Great item.
