I highly recommend it!
I built a new computer about 4 months ago after having exclusively used a laptop for many years. As my husband is currently in a different country and we use skype daily, a webcam was a must. I bought this because I liked the price and I felt like it would be a good webcam. Well, I was wrong; it is a great webcam! I love it! It is truly plug and play with Win7 and the picture is great! My husband had been quite unhappy with the webcam he was using for a while now. After our 2nd or 3rd Skype session with my using this webcam he ordered one for himself and he loves it! It is extremely light weight, sits perfectly on a flat screen monitor and is very adjustable. I normally use a headset but have used the webcam's mic and it works quite well. It doesn't sound like I am talking from the bottom of a well unlike most webcam mics, in my opinion. You really cannot go wrong with this webcam!

Excellent value. Great video quality.
I returned 2 Creative Live! Sync HD 720p web cams because they were so horrible for two of these HD-3000 LifeCams. FYI, "for business" just means you don't get the useless manual and box. With Windows 7+, just plug the thing in and you're up and running in a few minutes. The video quality is amazing for this price range (got these for around twenty a piece at the time). You will not be disappointed from the image. The cable is the right length for most applications. The rubber coating on the flexible foot is great. Feels well built. The LifeCam software that Windows 7 automatically installs is great. It has lots of settings and the real-time special effects can make for some real fun. My kids laughed for a long time trying them out.Works with Skype flawlessly. You will not regret your purchase.

Great deal!
Son is on deployment in Africa, so we decided Skype would be our means of staying in touch. Looked for a small unobtusive camera with a mic for video calls. This fit the bill perfectly. As soon as I connected it to my usb port, Windows 7 detected it and found it was a Microsoft brother device and loaded the drivers and setup a decent camera utility. Since Skype is also in the MS family it integrated very well.Video quality is good for video calling, don't think you will be able to shoot your next you tube video with this device. It is not designd for that. Adjustable video settings, this will be driven by how fast a PC you have as well as how fast of a broadband connection. It will try and autoconfigure itself but you can modify them later.Overall a super deal, under $20 for a name brand, new PC camera/mic. The "business" version is fine, easy open packaging but not disc included. Not needed if you have Windows 7 and above (suspect even Vista and XP would work well).

Inexpensive - But No Adjustments Can Be Made To Picture Quality (Color, Saturation, Etc.)
First, know that this is a TINY piece of electronic equipment. It's about the size of a watch - with the camera itself the watch face, and the flexible monitor attachment the watch band. That surprised me.Second, you'd better hope the picture quality is what you want as it comes out of the box - for there's no way to effectively access the camera settings and adjust things like color, saturation, etc. True, it's plug-and-play, and that part worked well (with Windows 10), but when the camera came on, my face was redder than that Disney dwarf no one can remember when asked to name all seven. And there was no way to correct it.[After a LOT of research online, I finally found a "hack" - namely, making the adjustments via Microsoft's Skype app, and then hoping they'll apply and hold with the webcam. Semi-success. The color improved, but not enough, and I'm not sure how long it will last, e.g., after a reboot.]Finally, as other reviewers have noted, the onboard mic is not great, producing audio that sounds like it was recorded in Captain Nemo's "Nautilus" sub (2nd Disney reference!).I guess what I'm saying is, you get what you pay for. If you don't expect too much, you may be satisfied with the Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000.But if you're really going to use a webcam for any important task, or substantial length of time, I'd look into buying something higher up on the evolutionary scale. In other words:This webcam provides just the (3rd!) "Bare Necessities".

Excellent video quality
Really easy to install, great video quality, great sound, and a great value for the price. I bought a few of these so I didn't have to take it back and forth between work and my home office.
