I wanted a book on Android development because although the Android docs are good and quite comprehensive, subjects are broken up and scattered all over the docs, so it can be hard to “see” a whole concept in one place.This book did a fairly good job of demonstrating the concepts, and was overall helpful. My only two suggestions would be that the code examples be in slightly smaller font size so that what is a single line of code doesn’t span 2 or more lines in the book (the font really is very large), and I would have preferred less code and more theoretical explanations. However, that second suggestion is a personal preference and may not align with the aim of the author.

The authors do not explain how you should setup an android app.They just show you the code and assume you understand it.They lack in explaining why they chose the code that they show.Way too much in the geek world and not enough of practically for the beginner.
