LGAEQ36756901 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly Kit

I ordered a "Used" one of these. The install was easy. When I first plugged the fridge back in, the ice maker lit up like normal but I did not hear any sound. The water did not immediately fill the ice bin. So I figured it was broken and planned to deal with it one day later. About 16 hours later I checked it again and it was FULL OF ICE. So far so good!

After returning a item that was similar looking, this item was the real deal! Simple to hook up. It took a little while to start running, however once it did it runs flawlessly. In fact it works better than the originalWhy, because with my original unit I wasn't aware that the arm was suppose to regulate and cut off the amount of ice production at a certain point. Mine would just keep on making ice filling the container way over the top. I had to periodically shut it off. This one works as it should.

We have had to send this back three times because it quit working I will never buy another LG refrigerator going to call customer service even though it's out of its 30 days by a week and see if they will help us out and what the sad thing is is this is coming directly from LG you guys need to get your parts from somebody else

It was easy to install if you are just a bit handy with hand tools and was making Ice later that same day. It fit correctly and works just like it should. It took me about 40 minutes start to finish to replace the old one.

We now have ice again! We took a chance and bought just the icemaker and we are so glad we did! Easy to install, and fixed the problem. Luckily we can still find replacement parts and don't have to replace the whole fridge.

LG left no slack in the harnesses. After removing the ice maker, had to remove the whole back plate, being careful not to remove screws holding the parts behind the plate. Got enough room then to use a short #2 Phillips and wrestle the single wire screw loose. Some idiot put it very, very tight. Sheese, not all of us have strong fingers and hands. Installed the harness plug before remounting the back plate. The unit had only 2 screws to mount, not 4 as some have stated.Reset the unit by holding the size button over 10 seconds until unit began its cycle. We have full bin in less then 24 hours. Discarded that ice in case dirt or stuff was in the fill line or the init. Recommend to all. It is a good ice maker. Ours was almost 9 years old.
