Who knew that growing a water lily could be as simple as drop and grow! We have a small pond with a few fish in our outdoor atrium and want to have some added color and places for the fish to hide once summer comes. Faux lilies and plants get too much algae and just aren't very pretty. After looking around online, we discovered this product and couldn't be happier. Within days our lily plant started growing! Can't wait to see it bloom. The cute little added flower in the package goves us something to look forward to. The instructions were so easy to follow. We even purchased some of the recommended fertilizer and will feed as suggested. Thank you!

Put it in my pond with the roots facing down but nothing happened. After two weeks I pulled it out to check it and all the roots had fallen off and it looked like a decaying potato.

I LOVE these lilies. I recently "opened" a new frog pond and wanted to include sustainable plant matter for the wildlife and ambiance. I bought my first lilies 7-8 years ago and they continue to thrive in my small pond container - through two moves and several "curious" (disastrous??) foster dogs! The lilies are durable, frog-friendly, perennial, and pretty!! I look forward to them growing, blooming and being part of our little habitat garden.

I ordered two plants to see how the process of starting lilies this way worked.They arrived in their packaging as described and I followed the directions on the package. After two weeks there was no discernible growth. After a month I removed the two plants and investigated the root bundle and could not see any signs of life.I’m not sure if these plants were the exception…but, I would not recommend them based on my experience.

The lily arrived quickly and in good shape. It was really easy to unpack, setup and drop into the pond. I’ve been meaning to give a water lily a try but was always intimidated by the setup process. Great product!It’s been a couple days and it’s growing. Excited to see this in bloom!

Looks good but I ordered yellow and got red! Not great quality control on orders!

The media could not be loaded. I planted the tuber outside, but it didn’t ever produce anything. It did arrive very healthy and green. I ordered sprouted Lotus seeds a few days after the lily, then planted them immediately, and within 2 to 3 days, I had stems and lotus pads. Either way, I don’t know that I would recommend this, since it might take until next year before I even see any lilies, and the lotus showed up immediately from sprouted seeds.

I purchased this lily on 4/19, delivered on 4/20, today is 4/27 and the bulb sprouted a few days ago. The picture is from 7 days from placing in the water. Follow the directions, don’t sink this to the bottom of your pond until it is growing for atleast a few months. Be sure it is in direct sunlight. As with any plant, it’s going to take time to get established. If you’re looking for a slow enjoyable process, this is for you. If you want instant gratification, find a store and buy a full grown one. I enjoy the process, so this is perfect for me. Only thing I did when it arrived was throw a few rocks in the pot it comes with so it stays still. Great item in my opinion if you have patience.
