Worth reading. Informative and very good narrative.

In some reviews I read that the printing quality of the book is compromised. That's why I had apprehensions before buying it. This comment is to remove the apprehensions of other buyers like me that there is no such deficiency in the book delivered to me.

A comprehensive detail on how the Israeli state came into being.What stands out about this book is the unbiased and impartial portrayal of the entire events that shaped the Israeli nation resulting in the never ending Isreali - Arab conflict.A must read.

Worth reading though bit long

It's absolutely a research work. Unique in nature. Very useful book to understand the reality of Jerusalem. Everybody should read the book to know the fact. It's a tremendous hard work done by the author to give the shape of this book which would be very inappropriate if I merely appreciate it!

I was always a fan of this writer & this book has further cemented that thought. Very detailed & interesting account of the conflict regarding birth of Israel.

The general condition of the book and printing of text is acceptable. However, the quality of the pictures and the maps is really poor; they appear faded and unclear!

I read this book for the first time when I was about 20 yrs old. But now when I re-read this book, I get a better perspective of what happened when Israel came into existence. This book and Freedom at Midnight are the first few books that got me interested in History. A great read indeed.
