Worthy change
I have a 2018 Denali HD 3500 SRW short bed with a 60 gallon aux tank in the bed, airlift bags in the back... That being said, I have a 24' pontoon boat, a 24' enclosed trailer for my RZR/ATV, an open deck car hauler, 30' bumper pull toy hauler, and an equipment trailer. I tow a lot. My truck pretty much always has a trailer on it or a couple thousand lbs payload of fuel and stuff/tools. The truck came with the Rancho deals and has ~70k miles. I proactively swapped these in because the old shocks were irritating and ride was fading. So install was a breeze. You need a pair of 21mm to take all of the factory stuff off and a 19mm or 3/4" to put the new fronts on. Install was for me, very very straightforward. Everything was very easy to access. The old shocks had ZERO signs of not being any good. They pressed out when unbolted, no leaks, no holes in the body, etc.Once they were installed, there seemed to be a bit more initial jounce/harshness, but it's just a more precise road feel which was nice in hindsight. The ride is more consistent and precise than the old shocks. These trucks just do not have much up-travel in the back. Speed bumps can find the bump stops pretty easily in the stock Rancho configuration, but the new setup has a much more progressive valving, which alleviated this issue for me. As the suspension compresses, there is more resistive force applied. The old shocks feel like there's a set valve rate and it just does it's consistent thing. These ones apply more valve as they stroke through the motion. This feeling is VERY comforting while towing the boat because the tongue tries to fly around. The new shocks bring the boat trailer under control where bouncing turns used to be pretty wild. I've not put the heavy (10k+) trailers on yet so no feedback on those, but those are usually tamed not by shocks, but more around the bags. The big trailer runs 40-60PSI in the bags which takes away all of the bounce. I will update the review if the heavy trailers change anything. All in all in summary, these shocks might not be worth the extra $ over anything else, but they're really good. There's no stunning-remarkable difference from the factory Rancho shocks I took off, but they seem more stable, better light-feel, better jounce control, better compression progressive control.

Best Shock for the money
They have improved the ride immensely towing 18k and a pin weight of 3800lbs.Yes, I'm running AirRide 5000lb bags as well set to 20psi.

Great shocks! Better than expected.
Being the owner of a Silverado 2500 HD, I upgraded the tires and wheels, and did a leveling kit. The shocks that came with the kit were "ok". I had researched Bilstein 5100 series and made the decision to buy all 4. What a difference! Install took me about an hour, and the first test drive was such an improvement. No more sloppy bounce and the ride was back to normal. I run 35x12.50-18 tires so the unsprung weight is significant. They are no problem for the 5100's. Just get some and forget the others!

Real darn good. Save some money buy the best.
Put these on a 2015 Silverado 2500HD. These really are good. They aren’t going to turn your truck into a 1500 (like some other people had mentioned) but they do really help for a washboard and smaller bumps. Your truck still has the heavy duty suspension, and no matter what, you’re going to feel it on large speed bumps. I have had several sets of Bilstein shocks and I absolutely love them; they are totally worth the money. These were a great price but if they weren’t, I am sure I would have been more than happy with some Bilstein 4600s.I wouldn’t hesitate on buying these. It’s a substantial ride improvement for a relatively low price. Bilstein’s also hold up way better( in my experience) than any other shocks/struts—specifically, Fox or Rancho. I honestly feel like those other big brands are largely built off marketing/branding and the for Fox the Ford Raptor’s performance seemed to convince everyone it was the best thing since sliced bread. A lot of people don’t know that fox shocks have to be rebuilt very frequently, even when you’re not doing having off routing and I’ve heard a lot of people super disappointing. Go with Bilstein, YOU WIll NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. You’ll get way better shocks for less money(probably a lot less).

Highly recommend
I had 130k miles on my stock ones, didn’t know how bad I needed an upgrade. I would highly recommend and beyond happy with their performance so far.

Worth every penny
I put them on a 2013 chevy silverado 2500hd. It has 228k and sacked out tires. It rides better then it did stock when I got it with only 10k miles. I can't wait till my new rubber gets in, gonna be a super smooth ride. Keep in mind a 3/4 ton or 1 ton ain't gonna have the ride of a half ton no matter what! But it makes it so much better! Thank u bilstein! Next time I'm gonna go with the 5160s!
