Great picks
Been using Dunlop Tortex for years and years, they're affordable and high quality. Dunlop is great brand and the Tortex picks are famous amongst guitarists. Experiment with the different colors, you'll find you end up liking more than one and find an application for each thickness. These greens are a great all-around medium pick, with a little more firmness than the yellows, which make these good for lead playing when you don't want the pick to flex as much. The finish is matte, so while they're not as slip-proof as ones with a true grip, they have more grip than polished celluloid picks. I bounce between these and the yellows.

Not for strumming acoustic.
In my opinion the tortex .88 standard picks are great for picking but make it tough for strumming. I would recommended them for electric guitar leads but not for acoustic guitars. Your milage may vary.

Freaking. Awesome. Picks.
For those of you who think that there is no difference between pick companies. You're wrong. This is seriously the best pick I've ever used. I like to bullet point my products i've bought so here I go:1. First off, for those of you who know hardly anything about guitars, this is a medium-heavy pick. i thought it was medium. If you want a flexible pick, but one that's firm enough to flow on rapid strums, go down one size. this pick is great though for a nice, crisp, vibrant sound. It barely moves when I strum, even really hard. Let's just say it's stiff enough that you have to exert a little effort to bend it with your fingers.2. It just feels so.....epic. I know that's a weird word, but you can actually grip this thing. The fender picks slide around your fingers and stuff. This doesn't. I was very surprised when I first held them. They have a heavy matte feel to them (which does come off a bit with water, sweat, and saliva, but even after that it grips more than a Fender pick)3. The logo is an ink application, not in the plastic. I found this out the hard way when I put it in my mouth to finger pick a song, before the strum part. As I held it I was like "ugh, what's that taste?" I take it out and the turtle is half gone. So while I spit and sputtered, and gargled, I thought "i need to tell others about this on Amazon"4. It's green. Need I say more?Buy it. Any of the gauges. I would say the perfect pick would be this one or the gauge right below it. Any smaller or thicker and you've got specialty picks. This is a great all around.

Good grip and great sound
I had been using 0.6mm picks, but the Tortex 0.88 is actually easier to use. My acoustic guitar sounds better too.
