I simply cannot fault these replacement joysticks
The perfect replacement for a PS5 controller with stick drift. I've previously used both standard ALPS replacement joysticks, which are doomed to suffer with drift again eventually and the cheap Hall Effect sticks with a calibration pcb which can be somewhat of a nightmare to get perfect.Replacement is straightforward for someone with semi-decent soldering skills, the calibration process simply requires any PC with a chromium based browser, go to the calibration site, spin the sticks and you're left with zero drift and fantastic circularity.

Drift free DualSense, love it!
After having tried the black ones, I thought I'd give these a try in a different controller.Using a desoldering tool, I directly swapped out both modules and replaced them with these. Smooth as silk, both installation and use wise. Not for the feint hearted granted, but with a lot of patience and a little learning, these will make gaming sessions definitely last longer.

Great quality replacements for stick drift!
5* service from AKNES. Received the sensor modules quickly, and their customer service for getting your questions answered is fantastic. The modules fit on the PCB like a glove - stick drift eliminated from my controllers. Highly recommend.

Button caps profile too high
Soldered into one of kids pads went absolutely fine until put pad back together and realised the profile for the new button caps(not the tmr sticks themselves) is too high and rub on the inside of pad, easily sorted just put old button caps on and went fine. Now anothet thing is i only recieved one set of colourful button ends. Im not going to desoldering and sending back as not worth the time and potential if doing harm to the pad, i would like 5 pound back

Useless.
The first one was constantly at the up position even though stick was centred. Another was drifting to the right after 1 day use. Would return but removing them would damage them and void refunds so wasted my money.

Drop-in if you’re handy at desoldering, no clue how they’ll be in the long term, but so far so good
The box they arrive in is pretty nice, it’s a branded AKNES cardboard box with a printed diagram on the front showing the product along with some marketing info about the product on the back. Inside the small box the four individual stick assemblies are held firmly in place with a sandwich of moulded plastic. You also get a pair of freebie (but ugly) stick covers and a small envelope containing a thank-you message and a QR code link to the service and support site.I’m not going to outline the process of how to install these, it’s really not the hardest job if you’ve got a reasonable level of experience with soldering, desoldering and electronics disassembly in general. I had two controllers swapped over within an hour, though I do have a full-on desoldering station that made life much easier when it came to getting the old sticks out of the controller. The only thing you need to be aware of on the software side is that you may need to calibrate the new centre points and write that to the controller itself once you’ve buttoned everything up, though it’s also not difficult and the testing and calibration tools are browser based and intuitive to use. These stick assemblies do seem to be doing the job just fine after installing them and they don’t really feel different at all in use once you’ve used them for a few hours, other than them not having a decade’s worth of wear and tear on them like the originals they’re replacing. Though obviously I haven’t been using these for long in the grand scheme of things, it’s only been roughly a fortnight since I installed them into controllers. As these aren’t using the antiquated resistive film potentiometers these should be far better when it comes to the overall durability. As for the other claims in the product images they’re probably technically correct claims, but I realistically haven’t seen a notable impact on the battery life of my controller or anything that could be attributed to the ‘better temperature stability’.The current £17.99 price feels about right for an aftermarket replacement/upgrade that should in theory completely eliminate drift and other issues caused by the degradation of the contact points in the OEM stick assemblies. Honestly the Alps OEM replacements for a DS4 controller are easily £4 to £6 each depending on where you’re buying them from, so the pricing is pretty comparable.Happy to recommend these to anyone who’s willing and able to tackle the installation.

They are Haunted!
The media could not be loaded. These joysticks are driving me mad! Here is the problemI installed 2 sticks on my dualsense:not as easy as it may sound and I am by no mean a pro but with some skills in electronics. They are really hard to install so be warned! After install, calibrated and both of them were AMAZING!!! literally better than the brand new!the next day I started PS5, the left stick faulty, I tried rebooting, recalibration, resetting to no avail. I left it then retried, I took out the battery after disassembling, removed all ribbons, removed the speaker (magnetic interference) and literally nothing helped! So I decided to embark on another journey of replacing the left stick. Guess what, the second time is even harder as solder points are more vulnerable. Nearly lost the controller! Finally managed and installed another left stick yesterday. It was nearly perfect, played for hours (Lies of P) and nothing wrong with the controller at all.Long and behold I turned it PS5 on and the haunted left stick started againSee videos of the last stick I installed. Yet the right one is good! (I can only upload one video)I have not seen a frustrating experience like this before! Please tell me if I am doing anything wrong? Why does it work for one day only? Why the left stick only?I think its just bad luck with 2 sticks and faulty chip in them!I returned them now!
