I bought this for a classic car that’s rarely used however just 2 weeks after buying it my family car decided that it was time for the battery to die. Fortunately I had this Powrun Starter. I clipped it on the car battery terminals and turned my key and hey presto my car started first time. I didn’t have the time to go to the garage to change the battery and once I finished work the battery was flat again but this time it was completely dead! No lights - nothing! So I clipped my Powrun on and pressed a boost button on the adapter leads and once again the car started first time.I’ve been busy at work all week and have had to use this at least twice a day - it’s so easy to use and the added benefits like the torch and USB phone chargers are a added bonus although I’ve not used those yet.

Quality feel a out this charger. Had tried before with a different product but it went flat within 10 days and wouldn't hold a charge. My POWRUN PONE is still at 100% after a month. Haven't used it in earnest yet but very pleased so far.

Started car on first go , so handy to have as a back up - only used 3% of battery as well , def recommend to anyone thinking of buying one

I like to keep a jump starter in my van at all times, I have found that they can be real life savers at times. On several occasions I have either left the headlights on or the lights in the back of the van on long enough for them to flatten the battery enough that it wont turn the engine over. In the past I had a pair of jump leads and relied on there being someone around that I could get a little jump off of to get the engine started again.When I first found out about jump starters, like most others I was a bit sceptical that such a small device couold provide enough power to operate the starter motor, however after trying one these fears were immediately dispelled. Ever since tryig one, I have kept a starter in the van. I gave a loan of my starter to my brother (he too has a van and, until he borrowed my starter, a set of jump leads) and decided to let him keep it and I would get another one. I ordered this one and have been very satisfied with its performance all round.My old started had a much smaller battery than this one. The 2000A rating is much more than I require but is very handy to have: I sometimes work on building sites and a few times I have jump started digger engines which need significantly more power to start than the van.Theres a lot to like about this device, it is very compact for its capacit - I've seen much larger (physically) starters that are lower powered. The unit is simplicity itself - theres an on button and two groups of connections: one group of USB sockets that provide input and outputs to charge t he internal battery and to use the device as a power bank and the socket that you connect the battery starter cables to. Both sets of sockets are protected by a rubber covering. Unlike my last starter, this one h as a percentage readout of the battery charge (the old one just had 4 small LEDs) so you can see exactly where you stand with regard to charge both when using or charging the device.In use the starter is very simple - plug in the starter cables, connect to the vehicle battery terminals and just start as normal - theres no sluggish turning the engine over that you sometimes get when using jumping leads, the engine starts straight away. Theres a useful boost function on the starting cables for when the vehicle battery charge is very low where holding the button down for 30 seconds will inject some additional charge to the battery prior to turning the key taking some stress of of the device.The reduction in the charge of the starter unit depends on the vehicle engine you are charging and the level of charge in the battery, but I have found that any time I have started the van, around 10% of the charge is used. The device comes in a very handy zipped case which stores all of the accessories (srtarter, jump cables, USB cable) so theres no hunting around for them when required.This starter is a lot better than my older one, its smaller and more powerful and the percentage readout is just more useful. At £80 the price is absolutely fine for me given its quality and performance; when you find that you do have a flat battery, in my experience you will be glad to have paid the money for it as it saves a massive amount of inconvenience.

Flat battery on motorhome, not even a click and this gadget fired up engine first time. Only used 3% of charge. Very good piece of kit.
