Easy install, works as intended
Not the best quality, was hoping for something more sturdy. But so far so good, for the price im not complaining. Worked perfect for my 2017 Transit midroof. It hangs on the top of door and 2 screws on the bottom. Does the job

Mounts onto unreinforced sheet metal.
The bottom two bolts go directly into the unreinforced sheet metal area of the door, and this part noticeably flexes when stepping on the ladder.The self-tapping metal screws provided are entirely inadequate - go for a set of nice 1/4" bolts, washers, and nuts.I wasn't able to peel the paper backing off the provided rubber pads (the rubber layers separated before the paper backing!) so I was forced to cut my own rubber pads.

Works great
Works great. I'm not a huge fan of the sheetmetal screws that come with it, a rivnut works better, but the ladder is working out great on my 2018 Transit.

stronger than I thought it would be
Was wanting a ladder for the rear door of my Ford Transit. Was hoping it would be strong enough to mount a two-bike carrier from Lolo on. Just mounted it with internal reinforcements on the inside of the door and bolts replacing the self-tapping screws. Have not received the bike mounts yet but think this ladder will work. My two mountain bikes are expensive but not heavy ( 56 lb total). This ladder will only work on the driver-side door because of the angle of the top brackets.

Sprayed it with Ryno bed liner and fitted it... Job done! Holds my 220lbs!

You need to actually put screws in your van to mount
This ladder is a great help because my van is so tall but you have to screw this into the door of the van which I didn’t like. The screw come loose and need to be tightened from time to time. Not a fan of anything that needs to be screwed in on the outside of an expensive vehicle

This product needs a better mounting system.
The mounting system is terrible. I hooked it on the top of the door thinking that there is not enough lip on the hook which grabs the top of the door. It did come wit sponge pads that I pressured down before bolting. Well 3 day and I have a bent ladder and a dented door as another driver pulled up to tell me your dragging your ladder.
