Great featured radio set, very compact
I was surprised at how truly small this multi band gmrs radio is. See the picture of the radio next to the bic lighter for comparison. The radio is very robust and feels solid in the hand. This gmrs variant is a 6 band radio which can convert to a ham and air band radio by a few knob turns and button presses. It has Bluetooth built in and you can program, clone another radio and setup everything through an app on your phone, you can use a Kenwood 2 prong cable or a USB "C" cord to program on the side and a USB C cable on the bottom of the battery to charge the battery as well as the included radio charging cradle. I have the TID Radio H8 gmrs radio 2nd gen also and it's twice as large as the H3. The radios work great and are feature packed.

Cool product and great customer service
I won't bother enumerating the features of these great little radios as there are plenty of other people doing so already. Instead I will tell you that I found the quality of the radios to be much better than I thought they would be. They have a very solid feel in the hand and, more importantly, work very well within the expectations you should have for a product like this. (It is a 5 watt handheld, not a base station and should be evaluated as such.)With the included short antennas (which are tuned for the GMRS band) I have about the same sensitivity as I do on the superhetrodyne GMRS radios I have been using for several years. As these radios are SOC (System On Chip) that's pretty good performance. I was also quite pleased with the reception I got on frequencies outside of the GMRS area. I am able to monitor aircraft band without having a specific aircraft-band antenna as well as various other bands (even including commercial FM).The manufacturer's programming software or the free CHIRP software make it pretty easy to bulk program the memory locations and these H3s can be programmed through a USB port. If you've ever used a Kenwood cable to program you will really appreciate not having to mess with setting that up and using it. You can also program using your cell phone over Bluetooth instead of a cable!I purchased a multi-pack and developed a minor problem with one of the radios after using it for a few days. This kind of thing happens in electronics--no manufacturer can test the radio for too long. At some point they have to ship them to the customers and sometimes a part will fail after being used for some number of hours. What matters is how the company handles this kind of thing.I contacted TIDRADIO via email (the phone number on the customer support card did not work) and received a response within 24 hours. I explained the situation and I received a replacement radio in less than a week. Excellent response time and all I could ask.Reading other people's incidents with this company I see that this the rule rather than the exception and I'm pleased with my interactions with them.

Reach 2 miles, compact, solid, sound good
In urban environment and outdoor to outdoor these TD-H3 will work good in 2 miles range (I've tested), sound quality also good within 2 miles range. Call from car to inside house, able to work within 1 mile. Battery last few days on 1 full charge. Compact radio with a lots of advance features, perfect for hiking, overlanding, offroad and road trip. ONE OF THE BEST...

No Transmission (UPDATED to 5 stars)
Update: The seller quickly reached out and offered replacement units at their expense. The replacement products continue to work great and the customer service was exceptional. Lydia went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. Not sure why the original ones failed (could be any number of things) - but the replacements have been reliable and are my go-to for outdoor activities with the family.Original: I ordered two of the GMRS variety, and for the first few days they worked well. Now, for some unknown reason, they have 0W of TX on GMRS band (verified using a Surecom SW-102).

THEIR H3 IS A FANTASTIC RADIO.BUT THEIR NON SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE 1 STAR 5 STAR FOR RADIO
I HAVE PROGRAMMEND MANY OF THEIR RADIOS, BOTH H3 AND H8. I PERSONALY HAVE 10 OF THEIR RADIOS, I SHOULD SAY 8 WORKING RADIOS. TWO RADIOS H3 WORK IN SIMPLEX MODE BUT WILL NOT CONNECT TO REPEATERS. BOTH ARE UNDER WARRANTY BUT NOT ONLY CAN'T THEY TELL ME HOW TO REPAIR IT, THEY DON'T ANSWER MY EMAILS. WHAT GOOD IS A WARRANTY IF THECOMPANY DOES NOT HONOR IT. THOUGH I FIND THE H3 RADIO IS A GREAT RADIO. IF YOU CAN REPAIR IT YOURSELF, THEN YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. H3 RADIO 5 STAR NON-SUPPORT 1 STAR

Just get them
Have one unlocked for Ham and one for GMRS. Once you replace the antenna it gives you a better sound and transmit ability. Great first radios and for the price it's hard to do better

Fantastic little radio
Packed full of features. Smaller footprint than Baofeng.I programmed both of mine and gave one to my dad so that we could talk to each other during hurricanes (he’s a few miles away).Wish I knew it came in clear and green before I bought them, now I might have to pick up a second set lol
