Mrs Armitage on Wheels: Part of the BBC’s Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures

Mrs Amitage is a wonderfully zany and ambitious character, who doesn't know when to stop. It has my kids giggling and cheering every time (especially my 3 year old daughter) and they love Quentin Blake's - always brilliant - illustrations. Love the originality of this story 👍

The ever endearing Mrs Armitage is clearly on the spectrum, highly intelligent, Breakspear is a charming, much loved dog, a loyal and fun-loving creature.This series of novels have been the perfect gift on many occasions as, through life, you often come across a "Mrs Armitage"I have given various books in the series to people of all ages, most recently a 60th birthday present!

We frequently refer to having Mrs Armitage moments and adding more something and knowing/ not knowing when to stop. This has to be my favourite children’s story book.

This story is about Mrs Armitage and her dog Breakspear going on a bicycle ride for a picnic.When Mrs Armitage and her dog set off on their journey its not too long before things start to happen. Her chain comes off the bike and she needs to find water. She slowly starts to add different things to her bike including a picnic basket, three horns and a hand washing station. The bike soon turns into an unusual contraption.We think this book is funny, interesting and a good read.We would recommend this book for children ages 5 to 9.

Another lovely book which we had to get for our Mrs Armitage loving son. He's not as keen on this one as on the original Mrs Armitage but he still loves reading it. If your children (or you) like Mr Magnolia, Angelica Sprocket or Mrs Armitage, you'll like this one.

My grandchildren love this book. Lots of humour and great illustrations.

This book is an entertaining tale about a woman who is very inventive and extremely eccentric! It tells the story of Mrs Armitage and her dog Breakspear on a day out cycling. Mrs Armitage has lots of creative ideas to improve her bicyle which have hilarious consequences.We think Quentin Blake's unique style of illustration brings the story to life with his wild and imaginative pictures.A definite hit, we think this book will be best enjoyed by 4-9 year olds and hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

Love this book. Very funny and ideal for younger children to join in with reading.

It's very interesting and story is also good. My 5 years old love the picture and story. Pictures are interesting and keep children fascinating.

Mrs. Armitage delighted me and my children when they were young as I read to them, and I recently bought a copy for a beloved senior citizen who is riding her bike to work! We still love Mrs. Armitage and her trusty dog Breakspear. Don't omit them from your children's library!

This is my second copy of Mrs. Armitage on Wheels! I bought it to give to my future daughter-in-law who will be a Mrs. Armitage! My students at school love this book!
