It does almost everything!
I was looking for a camera to take to airshows that was compact and lightweight to replace the Nikon DSLR and big Sigma 150-600mm zoom lens I'd been carrying around and killing my shoulder. The performance of this camera is absolutely stunning. My Nikon D610 shoots 8 fps in RAW format. The Sony shoots 24 fps in RAW mode so you will never miss that shot of two planes passing each other. I bought my camera around 5 years ago and it's hard to believe that this particular model has not been superceded by an upgraded version. It is also excellent at shooting 4K video. The only thing it's not good at is astrophotography because the prism of a DSLR is far more suited to looking at feint objects.
