Son is 4 (ASD) and has escaped most harnesses! This is perfect, easy to use, very secure as after closing there is another lock to secure, so he is unable to open ! Game changer!

Brilliant item my girl can no longer escape the car seat

We got an unpleasant surprise mid-journey where our child had managed to free their arms from their car seat shoulder straps by slipping their arms under the straps. They were still restrained by the central car seat lock, but their shoulders and arms were free. This resulted in a quick stop and buckling them up again. After the second time this happened we realised that our car seat shoulder straps needed something else to keep our little 'un from escaping. This is where these came in.They are very simple to install - the two halves clip over the car seat restraints - and then they simply snap together creating a restraint for the child at chest level making sure that the child stays restrained for the journey.The central snap has a locking mechanism to make sure it stays shut when little fingers try to undo it.I would say that they are extremely easy to use, and we have no indication that they are uncomfortable. The price mid-23 seems to be roughly the same as a double pack I ordered back in 2021 which is good.I guess the bigger question for me is why are restraints like these not mandatory (and included) for all new car seats, rather than having to buy an aftermarket solution. The only reason a product like this exists is because little'uns like ours are escaping from their shoulder restraints. Just like some backpacks have a small chest harness to stop the straps slipping, why can't car seats have this too?

My little one discovered the fun of escaping from his car seat, which has been really stressful. I was prepared to purchase an entire new car seat to solve the problem, however, while browsing I found this little device and thought I might try it for the price. Trust me it has proven really useful. Not only he can no longer escape, but also, as he can’t undo hi arms he is more relaxed in the car in general (he’s given up the poor lad). It’s very easy to set up and it doesn’t add complexity to fasten / unfasten the kids’ seat belts.

Good product but my son can just push hard and it comes loose gives u time to pull over and redo the car seat tho

Well clearly this product does not do what it says as my 2year had took it off played and pulled her straps off within 10 mins of setting off - shocking

This product is one of the best things I’ve purchased as a parent. When our toddler was younger, he used to sit, chill and even sleep in his car seat. Now the second I strap him in, he does an impression of Houdini and spends the entire journey trying to escape. He was successfully slipping the straps of his car seat within minutes of us setting off which was so dangerous and causing me a nightmare every journey because I’d have to stop several times to strap him back in - kicking and screaming like a Tasmanian devil. I tried everything, tightening them, adjusting the recline on the seat to make it more comfortable. I even spoke to the seat manufacturer because I was convinced our seat was faulty, but there was nothing wrong with it. I ordered this product, convinced Houdini would find a way out of it too, but after the first use he’s never been able to slip his straps again. And after a week? He doesn’t even try anymore, which is a huge relief for me and a much safer drive for everyone! The product is really easy to use and the cute character for the little one to play with is a nice addition. Have already recommended to several of my friends who are parents!
