Not getting nice curls
I think your butter needs to be a very particular temperature. And then it takes practise. I don't know whether it's the butter, the temperature, the fridge, me or the tool, but I'm not getting those nice picture perfect curls. But hey, it lifts thin slices off cold blocks of butter, so that's good.

Not like the old fashioned one!
Back in the eighties, most of us had a bitter curler which we brought out whenever we had guests for dinner. Somehow, over the years I managed to lose mine. This one looked as though it had potential but the design just doesn't work. And I am an experience butter curler!! So I am still hunting for one exactly like my old faithful.
