I used this to remove some hairline scratches from a bracelet and the watch bezel (in-between the lugs) from regularly removing and installing a steel bracelet. I wrapped a small piece around a cotton bud and applied force, moving rapidly in straight lines, worked a treat. I noticed that when I didn't apply force the results weren't as good. Both watch and bracelet look brand new now!

Incredible. I genuinely can't figure out how something that's so seemingly soft can take such damage out of a watch case. See photos. I will be buying a lot more of these to take all scratches out of my bracelets.

It takes a lot of elbow grease to restore work stainless steel surfaces to something resembling their original shine - but it does eventually come surprisingly close!It took me about two hours to polish up a 25 year old Breitling wristwatch with stainless steel casing and strap. The brilliance of the shine it achieves is easily equal to a brand new watch.Note, however, that anything deeper than micro-scratches resulting from mild abrasions will of course not be removed. The end result is a watch that is remarkably shiny, but if you look closely there are scratches that do catch the light at certain angles. However, because the edges of those scratches are no longer sharp, but will have been smoothed by the polishing - it doesn't really detract from the look. For someone sitting at a conversation distance from the wearer, it essentially looks indistinguishable from a new watch purchased yesterday. I'd say that's a very impressive result for 2 hours worth of work!Cons:- The vanilla smell is strong, but tolerable. Not exactly pleasant, nor entirely unpleasant. If used in a closed room the smell will hang around, but will dissipate in about a day.- Polishing generates a huge amount of suspended metal dust on the cloth. You can polish one wristwatch with with a cloth, but no more than that. If I do it again, I'll wear gloves. It took two days of washing before my hands were not visibly grey anymore.- The cloth material wears away during polishing, so almost half of the cloth was gone by the time I'd polished one watch. It might be better for watches with smoother surfaces. The Breitling watches I worked on all had tiny screw heads protruding in a number places around the casings. These do grab fibres from the cloth from time to time, and wear it down.- The package description was wrong at the time of purchase - it said quantity 32. However, the package contained only 2 cloths! A huge discrepancy. I complained about this, hopefully it will be fixed by the time you read this.

Excellent polishing for gold and brought my gold to almost new condition

I recently picked up Cape Cod Metal Polishing, and I’m really impressed with how it works. I used it on some old silverware and it brought back their original shine with minimal effort. The polishing cloths are easy to use, and the results were almost immediate. It’s become my go-to for keeping my metal items looking their best.

INCREDIBLE !Left my watch on its side for a week, moving it repeatedly to access to other bits, ended up with a load of deep looking scratches. Furious with my self, and about to take into Rolex for a £700 service and polish, and googled to see if there was anywhere local instead. Ended up on Amazon and reading the reviews on this- they were so good I thought I’d try it.Literally the best product I’ve ever bought. 60 seconds of rubbing (wrapped around a cotton bud for precision) and the cluster of scratches has gone.I am amazed !!!

Not great. Won’t be buying again.
