Q: Why does the price of this item increase every time I order it? It started off at $27 now it's up to $35.

Disgusting, isn't it!? I'm an old dude and remember when my first Wahl shaver cost under $25 , brand new! Now, just the expendable head / cutters are more than that. And, they're MADE IN CHINA! Still the fastest and best shave, though.

Q: Are the blades 2 separate pieces or are they connected to one piece for easy removal and how to replace them?

The blades are two separate pieces. To change the blades, squeeze the two black buttons on each side of the foil head and pull it off. The two blade pieces can be gently pulled off one at a time. Install the new blade pieces by pushing them gently back on where the others came off. Snap on the new foil head. It takes less time to complete than it took me to type this. Great razor!
