My top choice!
My top quality notebook for simplicity and paper quality! Best paper feedback out of my other notebooks - Leuchtturm, Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Moleskine. There is some ghosting but it adds to the character of every page. Fountain pens and gel pens take it all. I prefer blank notebooks for the freedom. Highly recommended

Great paper good binding.
Really nice book for the price. I use a fountain pen with pretty wet ink so any writing shows through. So for me I could only write on one side of the paper. Not a disaster for me because that is how I usually make notes etc.

No bleed through but believe these do need a cover
The media could not be loaded. I bought two of these and three of another make of hardcover notebook as for both reviewers had claimed no bleed through. I was fortunate in that both types did not bleed through with two different pens and two different inks. I can not absolutely guarantee as choice of ink and the flow rate of fountain pens in all likelihood vary but I was happy. The Midori I need to use in a leather cover but of the two this was less visible overpage although both notebooks were good enough to write on both sides of the paper with a fountain pen. Therefore 5 stars. The Only Con is the flimsy cover which although well made would not last long if carried around in a bag or case without a cover. I bought a leather cover as the review of the Midori plastic cover was not that good.Lastly the indefinable quality of writing on this paper is very nice indeed compared to others I have tried in the past. Highly recommended on paper quality

Good notebook
I really like it a lot. It has a nice cream, good quality paper with flexible cover which is perfect if you need it as notebook refill. Notebook itself is perfectly flat , it also lyes flat when open. I just love thin rice paper cover which of course you can remove if you wish. I keep it secure in place with paper clips. Paper doesn’t bleed at all but there is a little shadowing after using wet, broad nib fountain pen. It isn’t very thick paper so it’s normal. Medium nib leaves no shadowing at all. No feathering either. In my opinion worth the price paid. I would possibly like to see page numbering in my notebook but for £13 I paid I think it is value for money.

Great Quality Paper
Great quality paper suitable for making notes with your favourite fountain pen. The Midori MD A5 Notebook comes nicely packaged although I would recommend that you get a hold of the clear plastic cover to protect the Notebook. It opens flat and depending upon what fountain pen / ink combo that you use, should not bleed through - at least I've had no issues with various Diamine inks.Yes it is expensive for what it is, but the paper quality is much better than the standard European brands - Rhoda & Leuchtturm. Will be purchasing another Midori MD Notebook once I fill this one up (also available in A4 & A7 sizes).

Great quality notebook
This is a great notebook. The pages are smooth to write on and the pages are good quality. Pages are thin smooth when writing. Definitely buying it again.
