Invaluable pedal addition for extra foot stability and power
Such a simple accessory to keep your feet in the right position on your pedals and stop them from slipping off. These half-clips are sturdy and subtle, and work well. They are a bit fiddly to install, but nothing too serious once the screws/nuts are threaded. Good value at the price. Recommended.

Surprisingly effective and very convenient
I'd been using the "strap style" toe clips that came with my bike for years,They undoubtedly located my feet securely, but one had become mishapen and it was becoming difficult to insert my foot while pedalling.Noticed a friend's new bike had half-toe style clips and decided to give them a try even though I wasn't 100% confident they would work as well as full strap style clips.Easy to fit using original screws into location threads used by the old strap-syle toe clips and therefore I've not had problem with bolts unfastening that other people have reported. After a dozen rides - road and forest tracks - I can say that in use, these clips are excellent. 1) locate feet securely 2) position ball of foot on pedal 3) easy to insert and remove foot from clip 4) can definitely pull up on pedal stroke almost same as when using a full cage.

Look good, quality brand, great value
These fitted fine onto my MLS Sylvan pedals. I originally had a steel half toe cage but it rusted a little and broke, so these being plastic of course won't have the rust issue although durability is to be seen, they seem strong and sturdy and match my bicycle colour scheme fine. They do touch the ground when hanging freely so I would expect scratches and wear will inevitably occur due to the bottom bracket not being higher and the pedals not shorter than 170 mm. They are aesthetically pleasing and were great value so I can't complain, bought two pairs for two bicycles.

Excellent!
Far superior to those (similar) I fitted to my pedals a few years back inasmuch that there is no width restriction, so now I can wear anything up to and including climbing boots when I'm cycling. I bottled out of the Shimano clip-ons that I'd ordered (and received), what with the (according with everyone except the masochistic Tour de France/highly serious/Velcro nutters) that it's not a question of IF I'm going to fall off, but WHEN! And how often! No such problems with these though. Easy to place your feet and easy to disengage. And, of course, you can pull up - not as efficiently, I suspect, as with clip-ons, but I can live without that extra one-percent. Anyway, good kit, good price, easy to fit, easy to use, comfortable, therefore highly recommended.

Brilliant idea if you don't want to clip in
Great product if you prefer not to clip in but still have the more stable foot position on the pedal. The only issue I found was when you pull your foot out the pedal swings over and sometimes getting your foot back in can be a fiddle when you try to set off again. Also depending on you crank length the toe clips can be prone to catch8ing the tarmac/floor if your foot isn't in them while riding. The product itself though is well made and sturdy and thewy are simple to install.

Screws could be longer
Toe clips work well. Rigid enough to keep toes in position. But on my first ride out I lost a screw. I thought I had tighened enough with a spanner and screwdriver. Obviously not tight enough but they should be a bit longer? No room for any slippage? See the pic. The screw on the left is the screw supplied. The screw on the right is the one off the old toe clip!

The cheapest way to improve your cycling!!
I love cycling but loath clip in pedals, when cycling in traffic or coming up to junctions etc I like to be able to get my feet down on the ground quickly if I need to, I’ve tried clip in pedals and fallen over at junctions because I couldn’t get my feet out of the clips more times than I care to mention! Never again, these are the perfect solution, brilliant! I’ve got a pair on my hybrid bike and will buy more for my other bikes too, practice somewhere quiet until you get the hang of flipping the pedals around with your feet and then you’re away, they make such a difference to your cycling by making your effort more efficient. The only thing I would say is save yourself the hassle of possibly losing nuts and possibly the clip by buying a few M5 Nyloc nuts rather than use the plain ones supplied. Other than that I really can’t fault them!
