Was too wide for my Glock 43 even after I asked if it would fit.
Please consider this an objective review. Some of the items can be reviewed by a simple one sentence. Sometime I am brutally honest and that it is only my opinion. This is my review on Picatinny Rail Optic Mount plate for Glock G17 19 22 23 26 27 34 -Work with All railed red dot such as Vortex Venom, Trijicon RMR,with builtin screw hole for Leupold Delta Point Pro,Swampfox SentinelI recently purchased the Picatinny Rail Optic Mount Plate designed for Glock models (G17, G19, G22, G23, G26, G27, and G34), and I wanted to share my experience with it. This product is aimed at enhancing the versatility of your Glock by enabling the use of various red dot sights—including popular options such as Vortex Venom, Trijicon RMR, and Leupold Delta Point Pro.### Design and CompatibilityAt first glance, the mount appears to be well-constructed, and the concept is outstanding. The built-in screw hole for the Leupold Delta Point Pro is a thoughtful addition, adding to its versatility. However, my experience highlighted a crucial compatibility issue. I specifically inquired about fitting the mount on a Glock 43 before purchasing, and I was assured it would fit. Unfortunately, my gunsmith informed me that the dove tail was too wide for my Glock 43, rendering it incompatible.### Installation ChallengesThe inability to comfortably fit the mount onto my Glock 43 was frustrating, especially given that I had sought confirmation prior to purchase. My gunsmith offered to modify the mount, but due to its aluminum construction, he expressed concerns about potential warping or bending. This reliability issue for an essential accessory like an optic mount boded poorly, making the decision to return the product rather straightforward.### Final ThoughtsIn theory, the Picatinny Rail Optic Mount Plate is a fantastic idea that could significantly enhance your shooting experience, especially if you have one of the compatible Glock models. The overall design seems solid, and it appears to be well thought out. However, the miscommunication regarding compatibility with the Glock 43 was disappointing, and it resulted in an unnecessary hassle. While I appreciate the ingenuity behind this mount, I would advise potential buyers to double-check compatibility with their specific models or reach out to their gunsmiths for an opinion before purchasing. For those with the compatible models, it may be a worthy investment. For others like me with a Glock 43, it’s best to look for alternatives that guarantee a proper fit. Overall, it's a great concept, but it needs better clarification and guarantee on compatibility to avoid the return process.

Very precise
One must use the proper technique for removing the OEM rear sight (in my case on a Glock). Once that is complete, installation of this device is easy and provides an excellent mounting point for a reflex sight. Interestingly, once installed and prior to adding the reflex sight, one can still use the rail in lieu of the old iron sight.

A good option if you don't mind your red dot sitting a bit higher than necessary
Just a note before my review . The listing for this leads you to believe it is silver colored . It is not, it is actually black. Now on to the review. This is meant to replace the rear sight on a Glock pistol. You need to use a sight pusher to push the rear sight out of its dovetail and replace it with the small dovetail shaped insert. Then you can use the supplied screws to attach the mount to the insert. As you can see in the picture, between the man screws there are two smaller set screws. These are to tighten down against the slide to add more stability. It seems very stable, and the picatinny rail seems to be attached firmly. I would definitely add lock tight to all of these screws. Now that you have a picatinny rail firmly attached to your Glock slide you can now add your red dot. Many red dots come with a picatinny plate attached to the bottom of them. The listing points out that this plate also has built in screw holes that line up with the RMS/ RMSc footprint. In my opinion that is not a good option because there are no indexing posts coming up from the plate to go into the holes in the red dot. This means that you are depending on just the two screws to hold the red dot properly in place. In my opinion, this is just asking for trouble. I think the better option is to use the picatinny plate that came with the red dot. If the red dot did not come with one, and you don't want to get one then I think you should get one of the non picatinny red dot mounting plates that attach to the Glock slide the same as this one. They are available and would have the necessary posts to hold your red dot securely. They would also give you a slightly lower profile for your red dot than this one. This plate is well made and well finished and if you want to add a picatinny rail to your Glock I can recommend this one.To help understand how I rate items:Five stars - The product exceeded my expectations. I really love it and would actively suggest it to friends and would certainly purchase it again if needed.Four stars - The product met my expectations. It does what it claims to do. I like it and would recommend it to someone if they asked about it. I would most likely purchase it again if needed .Three stars - The product is average and for the most part does what it claims. There may be a few things I don't like about it. If I recommended it to someone, I would state my reservations. I may purchase it again if I could not find a better alternative. Two stars - The product fell far short of my expectations. It may, in some respects, do what it claims to do but has far too many problems to overlook. I would never recommended it to someone nor would I ever purchase it again. There is a good possibility I would return it.One star - The product is terrible. It has way too many cons and few if any pros. I would actively warn my friends away from it and would most likely return it if possible.

Does not work well with Glock 48
I like the idea of this mount, but it did not hold well with my Glock 48. After about 20 rounds, the mount came loose and part of the rail started to bend. Maybe it just doesn’t work with the slimmer slide of the 48 but still disappointing.
