St. Martin's Griffin The Reaper

I've read plenty of combat titles over the years, and Irving's is a contemporary masterpiece. He paints a brilliant picture with enthusiasm and detail throughout. I can't wait to read the follow up.

Read this book first then really must follow it up with The Way of the Reaper

Excellent read... Irving is a natural storyteller and explains the situations that soldiers on the modern "Battlefield" face. Sometimes shocking, sometimes amusing, it's always gripping.

Exactly what you would expect. Thrilling and involving
