Very sharp! Be careful when using but I love them!! Makes cutting meat and other food easy. Buy them!

It works well but too heavy
This is one heavy duty pair of cooking scissors, but it's too heavy and my hand hurt after holding it a while. I still use it occasionally for cutting chicken, but not for every day use.

Not made in Japan
These scissors seem to be OK but I find it strange that they are listed in Amazon's 'Japan Store' yet they are made in China. I thought that the price was great for Japanese quality so I jumped at the chance to buy them without knowing that they were made in China. I occasionally browse the Amazon Japan Store specifically looking for quality products. The scissors are heavy and appear to have a decent quality blade BUT they are NOT made in Japan. It's amusing to see the print size for the 'Made in China' label on the box... you'll need a microscope to view it! There's a bit of subterfuge in this product.

CUTS EVERYTHING
This is seriously the best scissor. I'm left handed and have a very hard time with scissors- I always have to use them with my right hand otherwise they won't cut. This scissor is just amazing!! I've been able to cut anything with them and bonus that I can use my left hand. The best!
