Roof Rails & Cross Bars for Mazda CX5 CX-5, Easy Installation, No Drilling Required, Complete Set in Sleek Black (2017-2025)

This is a great product. It fits very well a CX-5 2024. Materials are very good, all metal. The only plastic you get are this little caps that you put in place to cover this holes on the side bars (long ones). I honestly have no idea what was the need to have those openings/holes there.Other than that, the installation is simple and quick. I did it in 2 parts, so it would feel less tedious and also because my garage was super hot. First, I did the side bars (long ones). I used simple pliers to grab the screws by the head and place them in place. This prevented them from falling into that groove that many mention. I did not have any problems. I got them all started and at the end I tightened them up from the trunk to the front. It all felt in place smoothly.The next morning, I did the cross bars. After reading all the comments I was expecting all sort of problems but truth to be told, it couldn’t have been easier and simpler.Tips:1. if you are short get a tall ladder so you can see where the heads of the screws are to tighten them up.2. Also always place all the screws, start them but leave them somehow a bit loose so you have room to move/adjust whatever you need.3. It was very useful to watch a YouTube video:“How to install a roof rack on a 2017+ Mazda CX-5 with NO TOOLS”The video mentions that they had to apply force to place the front crossbar. I did not need to do that.

The media could not be loaded. I especially liked the black shiny finish of the side rails. It perfectly matched the black paint trim of the car. The crossbars have a matte finish and anre aerodynamically designed. It took me 20 minutes put on the side rails and about an hour and a half altogether. There’s not a lot of bolts but some of them are in tricky places and if you have an extension for a Torx bit, it will save you some time. Overall I’m very pleased as it looks like it was OEM parts from the original maker.

I watched a few YouTube videos showing how easy these were to install, and with the great pricing, I decided to get some for my 2021 Cx-5. I was quite surprised to see what a great quality these are for the price, and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade without factory pricing.My only complaint is the instructions. They are very vague and left out a VERY important part. There are plastic screws installed in the rails that use a different size Torx than the one provided. MOST people do not have Torx drivers in their toolbox and it would be good to know. Also, it would be much easier to take them out of the rails BEFORE you install the rails. If you don't, its tedious work that ended up with a few small scratches on roof of my car. Had i not already installed the caps, I would have just taken the rail off to get the screws out. This alone made me want to leave a 1 star review, but I'm not that guy. These are good quality and deserve a good rating.

These fit my 2023 Mazda CX-5 perfectly. At first I thought I had the same problem other reviewers had with the rear rack being to short but realized I had it backwards. They fit perfectly after flipping it around with plenty of adjustment. They seam very sturdy but I installed them more for looks rather than function and they do look great.I highly recommend watching a few youtube videos before starting a project like this and take your time.Also, I'm very gentle when doing these type of projects but broke one of the screw covers inserting them into the rail. Thankfully, they provided two extras with the hardware.

Was going on a long trip and needed the extra space on top of the car to pack a roof carrier. My last car had the racks but for some reason my 2018 Mazda Cx-5 did not come with them. Talked to the dealer who wanted to charge close to $1,000 to put on the rack and cross bar. Searched the web and this seemed like the best buy for the combined items, which was an advantage to not have to mix and match purchases. There were no reviews yet but I was willing to try or the price and convenience of receiving quickly from Amazon. We were not disappointed. These are high quality pieces that were easy to put on the car. A few things. There were limited, poorly written directions so we went online and found a youtube video to help. The screws are very small and we did not have a magnetized electric screwdriver, so there was some frustration with trying to get the screws in right. If you have the right tools, this woule be a very quick install. As it was, it only took us about an hour to install -- quick, easy, and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

Took about an hour to install, super easy. They look great, I’ve got the black cx5 and they make it look slick af. Bought to transport kayaks and they’ve served their purpose well. Way cheaper than a dealer install.

Rails and bars shipped in two separate boxes w/ different shippers. Seller was fast to explain Amazon only allows one tracking number. He provided the other.Product seems to be good quality heavy aluminum. All parts were in the boxes.Installation is difficult due to the holes in the rails the crossbar attaches to due to angle and just millimeters above the roof. I had purchased a T30 socket to go on my 1/4" swivel. It was still difficult as you can't see what you're doing.The plastic covers that go in the top of the rail only fit in one way, with small molded in projection facing the opposite side of the vehicle. These covers were the only item where you get two extra, I screwed up one.Before installing the rails, remove the 4 plastic bar screw hole covers in each rail before installing the rails, easier than after.Rails: Set the gaskets and spacers in place. Only screw in the rail screws a few turns, once they're all in and rail positioned then tighted.

The paint peeled off just one year after installation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product due to its lack of durability. Additionally, it’s important to note that this rack has no adjustable features—the cross arms are fixed in place. If you plan on installing a roof cage, be aware that the alignment may not be suitable.
