how much does the waist band stretch? Waist size is 26" with foul protector 32". what size would I need?

How much does the waistband stretch? To get a more comfortable fit I ended up removing the black TUFF logo on the front, it's made of leather and is quite bulky. If you take it off like I did you can get a pretty good stretch out of the band, it's also got a drawstring with clasp so you can loosen and tighten as needed. Waist size 26? I'm going to presume inches, according to their sizing chart this would be a small (26-28 in.). 32 in. with a foul protector? Stupid question but are you wearing it inside the shorts? So again according to their size chart a 32 would be a large. I myself have a 34 waist and find a large to be quite comfortable so the chart is somewhat subjective. I have never really like foul protectors because I find them to be bulky and restrictive for Muay Thai, boxing not so much but I still don't like how it limits my movement. My humble advice, I would get a medium and also invest in a pair of Shock Doctor compression shorts with the built in cup slot. The shorts are very light weight and comfortable and the cup is super durable (speaking from experience having had the benefit of their protection). It fits pretty well under the shorts and gives you a great deal more freedom of movement than a bulky foul protector.
