Not what I thought it was, I wanted a step-by-step drawing book to show you how to draw things from small steps, easy to do from one to the other. This book is more like a coloring book where it will show you a fully done picture and then a blank piece of paper next to it for you to try drawing it, or trace it. The pictures are nice, just not for a beginner or child to learn drawing.

Its a very cute book but doesn't have actual step by step instructions( so I'm not sure if i would call it a "how to" book. Like it says in the photos you try and draw it using the grid, then you trace it, then try on your own. Overall its a cute book and I like how there are extra blank pages at the end. There is a mixture of some basic looking stuff and some others that have a bit more detail. I bought this as a Christmas gift( even though its only October) So I cant say how my niece likes it at this time.

Very informative step by step instructions. A bit too difficult for a 5 year old but at least this gives them a challenge.

My niece will love this. It's a big book even though it looks small on the picture.
