Bought one last year and It's the second item. Reliable, ease of use and item as described.

This timer is very easy to set and doesn’t click like the notch ones. You simply select how many hours you want it to stay on after dusk and that’s it! It switches our hall lamp on as the night draws in and off again after 8 hours. When the clocks change again in March there’ll be no need to fiddle around re-setting the time. I’m very pleased with it - in fact I’ve just ordered another for our kitchen lamp. Ordering was easy and it was delivered next day.

Found it difficult to get it working correct but when I did it worked perfectly it is very good

Works amazingly if you understand how to use it!!I don’t leave many reviews but I liked this product a lot and some people reviewing them seem to not understand the concept of how a dusk till dawn photocell works, so it inspired me a little!A photocell detects light at a certain lux level. Usually natural light will be the deciding factor, but direct exposure to a bright enough bulb and/or at short distance will obviously trigger the photocell, which doesn’t know any better (at night time, if you shine a bright torch at an outdoor dusk till dawn light, it will turn off… )So the bottom line is, if you use these timer plugs in a sensible way, they will work brilliantly. Like mine do. I use them on plugs that are, for example, underneath a table that a lamp is on, or down by the side of my couch where the light of the lamp doesn’t trigger it. I used it on an extension lead with no shelter from the lamp, but just made sure it was a couple of feet away from the light source and… it worked perfectly. Very clever twist on an existing product type. I plan to buy another for my xmas decorations, this will work perfectly in the shed!

This timer detects the light source from the lamp it’s operating , and then switches itself off ! Absolutely pointless!

Good value for money does exactly what it says

Ok but only fits in certain plugs so not much good in uk sockets only the odd one

Easy to set up just plug in set the length of time you want plugged in light to stay on and when it gets dark the light comes on and turns off after the set time. As the evenings get darker earlier during the year the light comes on earlier. You do need to put it somewhere where there is enough natural light during the day. A bit expensive for what it is if £7.99 I would buy a second one.
