Interesting surface control for ipad
This seems to be one of those devices that could be awesome if only someone would put some more efforts in it.As surface device it serve its purpose: got faders, got knobs, got buttons. Small footprint fits on your keyboard probably and it does out of the box all you may expect from it. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that is because it is bluetooth; so no need for wires and this is a plus for me, worth the extra 40-50 dollars they ask, compared to similar devices. Also you get a good editor to set up CC commands, and 5 different pages of controls, so you have 5x the number of controls available if you want. The large knob is useful as cursor to scrub in a DAW, and that is appreciated. On the negative side, you can't send Sysex from it nor you can set it up as if it was a mackie controller, unless you use a pre-set DAW mode (which require you to turn off the device and switch it in that mode, via buttons combination when you power it on). When in BT mode you can't use USB, so if you plan to power the device via USB and have in BT mode, sorry but it won't work.Overall works great with Korg gadgets 2 and other ipad devices, but works equally well with other DAW on windows. Just keep in mind that if you plan to use it to control VST; it may not be that simple to program it.

Different way to work with audio.
Hi, recently bought this little mixer with extra controls and transport. It’s different way to work and has spend up my mixing process, I will say if don’t mix like this, give it a try, you will appreciate the tactical way of working as you would if you where working in a professional studio. If you plan on working in professional audio this would be the same approach so the only thing you would gain is knowing how to drive any mixer in any giving situation. It would be better to have a motorize fader controller but for now this will get the job done easier than a mouse and keyboard, in the sense you focus more on your ears instead of click and dragging the faders. PS you will always have to use a mouse and keyboard while working, this is just another way to work. I would see if you can get a refund or return before purchasing, give it a chance of your interested in this kind of work flow, if not you probably don’t need this. That’s my two cents.
