Nice looking sturdy cage and great price - get the largest size that you can fit in your home
The amount of pieces needed to put this thing together are a thing at first sight, but the directions were clear and it was oddly enjoyable to put together and not at all difficult. I purchased the standard size one for our small adult female guinea pig as a smaller cage for her since we are moving into a smaller space soon and her giant cage just isn't going to fit-- she's in it only when not able to be in her exercise pen supervised and it will work perfectly for that. The standard size is not really proper size for a guinea pig, if they are going to be kept in it most of the time. There is just not enough space in it for them to run around and be healthy. The cage itself is very sturdy and safe, our cats and husky have already tried to break into it and failed horribly. It's also appealing to look at, it's really quite pretty and the the way the top opens up is nice to have that wide opening to be able to take care of what is needed to inside. I was surprised that our piggy enjoyed getting on top of the deck and eating up there I figured it would be wasted on her but she has no problem hopping up or down safely, it has more of like little steps rather than a ramp like most cages but she just hops on up there. Of course she likes the hidey area, she spends most of her time in the cage either in her little dark place or up on the deck hanging out. Hay rack was a hit with her she loves how big it is and all the access to hay it gives her and I like that it seems to work well and stays in place. The pan is nice and deep so when she starts popcorning and running about she doesn't throw the bedding everywhere, its much less messy. Water bottle is the only thing that really disappointed me, it seems pretty flimsy although it didn't leak like a lot are prone to do, I would still recommend possibly purchasing a different bottle eventually to go with the cage for long term. Also be sure to get the largest size that you have space for, the animals will thank you for not shoving them into a tiny space all day.

Incredibly big cage for a great price without compromising durability or workmaship
I have a baby bunny that is expected to grow to be of medium/large size once she's done growing. When we got her about a week ago, the guy at the pet store told us that a cage that is two feet long and one foot wide would be plenty big enough for her, even as an adult. Much to my disdain, when I did some research I realized exactly how wrong he was. We had already bought a cage, but we decided to upgrade her immediately so we could return the previous cage.I began researching and I found that this cage was meant to be plenty big. I read the reviews which were all comforting and we made the leap to get this grand cage. I was nervous ordering from this provider because they weren't Amazon itself but it was the only way we would get the cage quickly. We ordered the cage on March 27 and it was expected to arrive between April 1 and 3. I was incredibly happy when the Fed Ex man knocked on our door and handed us the massive box that contained this beast of a cage on March 29.We ripped into the box and pulled out all the pieces, then stopped to gape at how massive the base of the cage was. It didn't take long to assemble the thing, though the instructions could have been a bit more clear. Right after assembling it, I knew that this cage would be plenty big for my bunny, even after she grows into an adult rabbit and we add a litter box to the cage. There's so much room that she'll be able to comfortably sprawl across the ground. I was worried that the entrance would be too big for my little bunny (it's pretty high off of the ground), but she jumped through the entrance just fine. The stairway to the food dish is a bit steep too, which we couldn't really fix, but she was able to jump up that too without a problem. My only complaints about the cage would be the water bottle definitely leaks a little, the platform is a bit steep if the bunny needs to use it, and the hay bin just attaches to the side of the cage - if you put hay in it and need to remove the hay bin, you have to accept the fact that hay will go everywhere. Oh yeah - bedding just got a lot more expensive too because it takes a bit to fill up the bottom, but that will get better once she's potty trained because I won't need to change the bedding as much. However, I love this cage! It's massive (so much so that my boyfriend who is 6ft 3 in and weighs 220 lbs can fit in it - see the picture), durable, made well, and a cute cage to have for my bunny. I definitely feel like I made the perfect decision when getting this cage!PS - my bunny adores her new cage too! She keeps going inside and doing mini binkies. It's evident that the extra space is much loved.
