Q: Is this sodium or calcium based bentonite?

I am not sure. I do know it came to me recommended for clearing up wine. I tried it and it worked well. I now use it with all my wine.

Q: Can I add Bentonite after racking to secondary?

Yes , I tried the both options and it was ok, because by the end you need to clear the color of your wine

Q: Can i use this after wine fermentation is complete but before bottling?

Yes this can be used after fermentation.mix into wine after straining and leave for 7 to 10 days sediment will settle at the bottom so yon can syphone out wine and bottle.

Q: How much should I add to clear up 1 gallon of wine/cider?

Bring 1 cup of water to boil then slowly add 1tablespoon benonite. Mix until dissolved. Then pour into wine/cider. (Does not have to cool)
