this amp and its app are perfect for the beginner or pro, from practice to recording to gigging. 50 lovely loud watts . the easy use menu allows access to 30 preset amp/effect models from clean to space trip through so thinly disguised amp styles to avoid copywrite such as "iron man", "boys are back" and "her majesty", another 30 empty slots allow either self mixed amps or once downloaded onto PC, the fender tone app allows access to even more amps and effects. the black front is nice but i miss the classic fender look. controls and knobs are intuitive, headphone socket is the small walkman mp3 size. footswitch and line out are on the back. I recieved it yesterday, and am comfortable already, sound is lush and seems capable of delivering on its promises. price belies its quality and its build. durability is to be seen. when updating follow instructions carefully. update : March 25/2025, I bought the sold seperately 4 button pedal, while not essential, its a plus for switching presets or activating tuner without going to the amp. Since buying the amp I found I have not needed to take volume above 50% ( OKAY i dont play stadium or large room gigs, though it can handle moderate out door gigs, especially with an added cab). the online updating is simple with loads of additional modeling sets. Using the menu to make your own model is simplicity. it also handles my largish pedal train well though for giging I miss having my effects go through an effects loop (a shame as that would make this perfect. As a recording amp , this is excellent, handling mic, bass, keyboards and guitars equaly well. without jinxing it, all controls are as good as the day i got it, still miss the classic Fender look but you cant have it all. would I buy it again ? with the same budget, yes ! if I had more money or needed more I would go for the 100w. any complaints or quibbles? No complaints and just one quibble, The power lead ! Not all venues have logic and thought in their power output layout, meaning the amp has to be 5ft from a socket or through an extension lead (cue harmonics and a weak link) , a 3m (10 ft) power lead would make this all but venue proof .

Amazing tone and very easy to navigate.
The amp is a joy to use and allows you to dial in and amazing array of amp models and effects. Not many features or sounds on there that you won't need. This amp makes my Stratocaster and Gretsch sound fantastic! Plugging in a laptop opens up more sounds and presets and makes editing and saving even easier.

More power for your amp
No, this won't make your amp louder, but will make it more versatile. A software update for the Fender Rumble Studio amps allows you to use this foot switch with them. It works really well and gives convenient access to a lot of functions, and unlocks the amp's built-in looper.

Works very well, but a bit pricey
Good quality, and works very well indeed for most things- the long press to move backwards through the amp presets is a bit hit and miss. Mainly use to turn effects on and off. Unlocks the looper on the gtx50, and that works brilliantly. It's well built, but expensive. It's fender though, so that's to be expected I guess.

Essential for live performancesBuilt in tuner is a great addition AAA

Bug ridden and glitchy
The amp sounds nice but the app is a car crash. Constantly wont connect and most of the time when it does can't access features without getting constant blank screens. Amp has started cutting out now, its going back and its the last fender I buy.
