Good sound amplification from the handset ear-piece speaker
Bought this for some one hard of hearing. Feared it might be too loud but she likes Volume level 6 with red-button Volume Boost (the loudest settings) for the ear-piece speaker. Most importantly, she can acutally hear what speaking person is saying. But the "speaker" function (speaker activated by the green call button) is disappointing, it is not as loud as the ear-piece speaker, and not as good sound quality.

Clear messages
The fact that the messages left on the answer machine are clear. I can slow down the messsge; so many people talk too quickly when leaving a message.Easy enough to set up and looks stylish

Very difficult to set up
See on line for pictures of phones. There is nothing easy about these phones so do not buy unless you are au-fait with computers. Difficult to input names and numbers and it would be good to switch off the annoying woman repeating the numbers being dialled. Still not input everything. Window too small for whole names etc etc

Not as good as advertised
I bought these phones for my mother who is 95 years old and still lives in her own house with no help. She is in very good health but extremely deaf so struggling to hear the phone ringing and also struggling to hear people talking to her on the phone. The phones were relatively easy to set up and the red light on the handset that flashes when the phones ring is very useful but, that is where the positives end.The boost button on the side of the phone does indeed boost the volume of the speaker during a call but only to a level of her original phone’s that I replaced and the ringer volume is no better than the original phone’s.Overall these are decent quality phones but I am disappointed with them as they claim to be superior to similar ones that are specifically for the hard of hearing and apart from the flashing light they are not.
