Q: Does it stain the bath? Like some essential oils

Any oil leaves a residue from water. However, I find by not putting extra drops in not taking a full bath of water (this can dilute the absorbents) the smell and skin feel the benefits so much more. The oil can be easily washed away by adding some baking soda (very little and cheap) to the sides of the bath when washing bath afterwards. The benifits far outreach the small trouble. Remember you're soo worth it.
