I would buy locks from this series again
This lock is one of the fancier warded locks. Quite nice for the price!I used the wide "T" pick to work on it. As of this date, Sept 29 2024, you need to pick it twice - once at full depth, and once right before the last ward. The directions are on YouTube. Do not force the lock, it will pick easy enough if you are doing it right. For some reason, my double cross pick does not work with this lock at all.I would definitely buy another lock in this series. Worth it for the practice value! Very affordable, and they look sturdy. I am excited to try making a skeleton key for this lock in the future!Of course, you could use this lock for its intended purpose, as the "Warded locking mechanism minimizes jamming from dirt and grime". Locksports is really turning me into a lock fan! I love Masterlocks, they are great fun!

Tiny lock does a big job
This lock is smaller than I imagined it would be, but it does a great job protecting my gate. I have no concerns that anyone can get into my gate with this lock on. The key works great to open. Just remember where you put the key because it is small and only way to open lock.

Great for certain applications, just not very secure
I wanted to start this review with a brief explanation. When buying this lock, it is important to know it is a low security lock. I do not mean quality here, but design. It is a warded style lock, which is an old design and very easy to pick, or maybe better worded, bypass. I would never use this lock where I intend to prevent unwanted opening, only to prevent more of accidental or unintended opening. In my opinion, warded locks offer an advantage that other modern locks do not, the resistance to weather and environmental debris. The lock mechanism is far less disturbed by contaminants entering the lock, such as water, dirt and even small amounts of sand. It is easy to just tap or shake the lock a bit and open it right up.This lock is for a shed. While I do not want people entering, the shed is made of wood. Anyone who really wants to enter would have an easier time just breaking the wood than trying to mess with a lock, so even the best lock won’t offer any more protection. For this purpose, I prefer this type of lock. For the quality of the lock, it is ok. I have used Master Lock products for many years without issue, but the quality has reduced over time. The locking mechanism is rough and gets tight at times and the keys are thin and made of cheap metal. This is an issue because as debris enters the lock from weather, it will get harder to turn. This is tougher on the already cheap keys making them even more likely to bend. I suggest keeping this lock generously lubricated, especially if outside and/or left untouched for long periods of time. When lubricating, I also like to sort of break the lock in but turning the key numerous times after applying the lubrication. I find this helps loosen the mechanism up a bit and smooth the operation.

Good lock
I did not pay attention to the description or I would have gotten a different lock. I needed it for a locker at work and the shank/shackle is too small. A longer one would have let the lock hang down instead of sticking out sideways. Works well and is very solid

I wouldn't trust anything too valuable.
This is an OK lock, it does what is advertised but not amazingly. This thing is obviously a bargain lock, I just wish it didn't feel so chintzy when I used it. It unlocks fine, but when you want to lock it you need to turn the key to get it to lock, which can be pretty annoying when you're in a rush and you have to find the sweet spot so it will close. I also wouldn't leave this on anything outside as I am guessing it wouldn't hold up too well to the elements, plus a teenager with a screwdriver and five minutes could probably pry this apart. I am using on a locker in my office, so it just needs to be a deterrent but I wouldn't use this for a bike.
