A seminal writing on participatory facilitation
I'm an experienced facilitator in grassroots initiatives and teach university for community organizers. The framework is explained clearly and simply. This book is great to have a framework, and I would suggest pairing this book with books that may offer more structured activities.

Worth every penny...
This is an amazingly awesome book. I facilitate child and family team meetings for work. I browse this book before each meeting to make sure that I have "back-up" plans in case something goes wrong or isn't working for that particular meeting. Well worth the money.

A good step. Glad he made it in the 90's ...
This is an important book. A good step. Glad he made it in the 90's and revised it recently. Participatory groups is the waive of the future. Less sense of being controlled by one opinion or another.

If you want to advance people through the decision making process and want to arrive at best attention station
I have read a couple of facilitation textbooks, but this one is definitely outstanding. It goes into the heart of why facilitation is necessary to unlock the potential of groups. We all make decisions although not always at the same time, which is often required by situations. If you want to advance people through the decision making process and want to arrive at best attention station, then you need this book in your toolbox.
